I have been thinking about this for a while and I think I may pursue it::, If I had KNOWINGLY purchased my Toyota with counterfeit money I would have deceived Toyota and I am sure they would want the vehicle back, Well if it turns out they KNOWINGLY sold me a vehicle with the potential to get my family and I killed I think I should be entitled to a refund!!

Now had I purchased the vehicle NOT knowing the money was counterfeit, or if Toyota sold me the vehicle NOT knowing of these problems that would be a different story.

If they had told me of the potential problem, and they would fix it if it happen that would be a different story, I could have made a conscious decision. Don't misunderstand me, I know Toyota is going to fix these problems, But I am not sure I would have purchased a flawed vehicle.

I understand that many will say this issue does not effect the Tacoma, , if anyone believes this problem is caused by a "floormat" or "Sticky gas petal" get ahold of me, I have some "Lakeshore" for sale, I think the entire Toyota lineup is suspect!! Doc

I may be with you on this one. To be totally honest, If I had known what I know now, I would not have purchased it.

edited to add: I most likely would just have waited to see how Toyota handled these problems. If they stepped up to the plate and took full ownership of the problems I wouldn't hesitate to purchase. Now, if I find out they covered up the problems in order to increase their bottom line, and they continue to fight having to correctly fix the issues, then hell no... I would buy something else.

I completely understand what your saying but last year my dad bought a 2009 Tundra and he took it in to check the recalls and what not. And they fixed everything for free and comp'd him 5 year- free oil changes.

He has the 5.7 TRD Trundra. Not a bad truck. WAY better power compred to my 3.4 v6 1st gen taco

You could always take it and figure it out, im pretty sure toyota is fixing the problems

    really?

my dad's bmw sucks in the snow without snow tires. bmw didn't inform us of that at the time of purchase. if driven in the snow, it could easily kill our family.

Amen. How about a GM, try a company that went bankrupt and will probably go bankrupt again, then you wont have any warranty haha!

lol of all places he posts this on a board where everyone is in love with their trucks...whenever i park and walk away i always turn back 3 or 4 times just to make sure it's ok..feels like i'm cheating on the gf the way i look at it lol so the transmission shifts a bit hard, you drive a damn truck, get over yourself. and a few yota's pedals have stuck or whatever they do, the other 98% of them are performing just like they were brand new man. Go buy a tv, there's a 2% chance the screen will fuck up on that too, then you can find a forum and complain and say you want your money back on that too.

ps Hoyal..where's our snow man? i thought this was colorado, not the bahamas!
