the tech package isn't an option for SR and SR5. the power rear window comes standard on all 2017 DC TRD models.

If you get the tech package and get heated seats, does that mean you are getting leather seats? Didn't think you could get heated seats with cloth.

The limited and pro are the only ones with leather, the others are cloth heated seats.

Tech + JBL, I've read lots of people on here saying the JBL isn't worth it, but I love it. Best thing about this truck.

tech+JBL. love the heated seats and lady friend loves the dual zone. 6'3" and clear the moon-roof but by a hair. Never hit it going over a bump though. Heated mirrors are helpful on the cold mornings. Cross traffic has saved me multiple times already and BSM is a nice reminder to check blind-spots thoroughly though i don't rely on them. Wish I didn't have the JBL though, nothing wrong with good audio but a truck is not the place to listen to high fidelity music and I would have been better off using the storage space the sub and amp took up.

Tech package on the 17 came with dual climate control? Did they get rid of this for the 18?

I currently have a 1k down payment on a fully loaded (premium package) tacoma in Oregon, but I’m really having buyers remorse due to not wanting the sunroof. Keep hearing some tall people have to recline back. I’m only 5’10” but it’ll be embarrassing if tall people ride in my truck and they hit the headliner. I would like the dual zone but it seems it’s only available in the premium package.

That sucks! The sunroof should really be a separate option.

I have the sunroof and have never noticed any headroom issues. I’m maybe 5’11” but my son is 6’2” and he doesn’t move the seat. Now my nephew is 6’6” and he did lean the seat back, but he didn’t say anything negative about headroom, so either he just likes it that way or he’s used to having to do it in lots of cars. I did space the rear of my seats up about a half inch for a better angle.

Our first '17 OR had the tech package, our current '17 OR does not. Neither my wife nor I miss it, but it really is personal taste.

the way i saw it, the $2500 is not a huge amount in relationship to the remainder of the truck cost. 5 year loan it is roughly $45/month. and i decided that if i was going to hold on to a car/truck for 10+ years, i ought to get what i wanted (sunroof in this case), BUT i will say that i use the Blindspot and backup monitors everyday with a tight parking garage and 55 miles round trip to work and back.

    For 2018:
TRD Premium Sport Package $2625 = Dual zone automatic climate control, Leather trimmed seats (front seats heated), Entune Premium JBL Audio with Integrated Navigation and APP Suite, Auto Headlights and Moonroof.
Technology Package $800 = Rear Parking Assist Sonar and Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

I got both Premium and Tech packages as worth it to me this time around as I drove/drive my 1996 4x4 for 22 years with AC and radio as only options.

As far as the moonroof goes I don't see it being an issue unless 6'5" or more, however at that height a lot of vehicles become uncomfortable. Try a C7 Corvette for example.
