Right on, I really want to build a smaller house to retire into as I'm sick of trying to keep up with large homes. Just need to keep gently convincing my bride that we don't need all this space or the crap that is stuffed into it.

You need a 3 bed 2 bath house with a yard, deck, carport and a 2 car garage with a pit.

I could comfortably make do with a 1200 square foot 2 bedroom 1 bath house. With a 6 car garage with a pit and a lift, and a wood shop up overhead lol.

A smaller home could work for me, but I. Need a big garage with shop space.

Was just forwarded this. Do you let the system have its way or defend your child and buck? Certain that my wife and I would refuse to comply.

Me, my wife and 3 kids (14,10,6) live in a 950 sq ft house with 3/2, shop is 1200 sq ft on 1 acre. Yes we're a short family (i'm 5'8 & wife 4'10). Small house has lots of pros if the cramped quarters don't bother you.:D

We sent the two oldest to Parochial school, and the two youngest were home schooled as the public school system insisted on labeling our children with some type special need in order to get more federal funding. All four have Bachelor's degrees and careers, one has a Master's. Buck the system.

If you want Alex to live a married life when he grows up, you have to teach him that sometimes it's better to be happy than to be right. ;)

I'd have to have a sit down to find out why the "teacher" it putting false information into the minds of children and I would also demand an apology from the teacher to the kid.

It all depends on where in Texas. That would be $450K within 5 miles of downtown Austin (unless it was on the east side, then only $350K).

The real WTF is California prices near LA, Frisco, and Silicon Valley.

Depending on the #2 kinematic viscosity, usually you can lift your butt up and scoot over to get your toilet paper. :notsure:

Well that would be one way to avoid a messy divorce...

Note, never go skydiving with a pissed off spouse...
