Yea they were a good price. I want some Chris built skids when I'm not in a rush for my Tacoma, as it will likely be the one we take to more off road parks and beat on. Therefore I'm cool with the extra weight due to extra toughness. This truck won't be doing that mostly, and keeping weight down is a big deal. I don't want to spend $5k on the 4Runner and have no budget left to burn on my truck.

Plus I'm cutting time really close and I'm not sure if I'll have much time to put into this, so I'm just making stuff magically appear.

Do keep in mind Juan, these skids are probably more than I need, but they are NOT as beefy as the 3/16" steel skids. I'd stick with Chris level stuff for the vehicle you're going to take to these parks to be safe.

Was trying to get over this one obstacle and thought I had it but the truck pitched sideways and Chris ran and jumped out of the way. Luckily the big rock hit my slider and stopped me.

Sounds like a solid plan for the 4runner. Should be able to go all the place you've mentioned with that setup. Also your pictures are fantastic. I'll have to steal the one of the wifes if that is cool.

Its an awesome place, rained for about and hour that morning and made the rest of the day a little bit more challenging but always a blast. Its really pretty in the fall colors.
What Jake said, the rock had plans of its own for his truck. Almost shat myself for sure.

Too true, Rachael got some "carnage", she clipped a tree ever so slightly with her front bumper on the Tex Winder trail. Not enough to warrant a new bumper yet.

Haha she was concentrating too damn hard on the trails. I think she drove more than I did this trip which I'm actually pretty stoked about.

    I'm glad everyone is okay.
    What brand are you running?
I wish Misty would want to drive. I think she just likes spending time together.

@Overkill07 Warren, what brand hidden winch mount is that? How did you get the recovery points on it?

Apparently its a stress relief for her...which I think is the case for most of us as well.

Hopefully he doesn't mind me answering, I believe its US Offroads hidden winch mount.

Cool. I either want a LoPro or a hidden bumper for a 8000# syn-line winch. If I do hidden, however, I want at least 1 recovery point, there aren't any on the 4runner. There's some loops under the frame but those aren't meant for recovery, just tied down points for shipping.
