If you can make that happen you should be selling refrigerators to Eskimos.

the dealership selling used tacoma with 120K miles for $22,500.

i think $12,500 for a tacoma with 61K miles is no problem.

i don't see how this would be the same as selling refrigerators to Eskimos.

seems like the dealer pricing out here not much different then Oregon.

I love first gens, but these prices are outrageous. I'd surely pass

Then my truck is worth $30k.

I should walk into the dealership and go, gimme a new Tacoma, even trade for mine. Look at this. *shows them link*

Just for reference a buddy of mine bought recently a very similar truck w/o sun roof and 7k miles on a rebuilt motor (175k on the truck) for $10k here in NorCal.

I'd recommend to keep looking. They'll pop up cheaper. Or like someone else mentioned a new truck is only a little more.

You can. Eskimos need refrigerators to keep their food from freezing.

I've loved every 1st gen tacoma i've owned, but there is no way a 15 year old tacoma is worth that much unless there 10K in cash in the glove box.

I paid $20k for my 04 last year but it had only 24k miles on it. Look elsewhere, that thing is crazy overpriced

If it was in perfect condition.. not even a single scratch that can't be polished out, not a spec of rust, perfect interior everything works, at least one factory locker, new tires, a real suspension lift I would say it's a good deal.

That's high even for a dealer out here, and we tend to pay a premium for being in California. Maybe if it had every option and about half the miles it might be worth that. I would think around $18-$19k would be top of the mark (assuming everything is tip-top) even for a Tacoma nutter.

Sounds like a nice truck. If you really want it, I'd go in at $15k and see where you end up. That truck won't go for cheap no matter who buys it.

Holy smokes. What's the owner history on something like that? Little old lady only drove to bingo once a week?

I got it from a Toyota dealership in San Diego, only history I got from the salesman was that it was an older gentleman from Arizona that rarely drove it and kept it garaged. Weirder yet is that he got the TRD supercharger, headers and exhaust put on lol. You can't tell now because I beat her up offroading pretty regularly, but she looked brand spanking new a year ago.

Soooo, it was a little old man that drove it to bingo, with a supercharger and headers. Awesome find. Dealer probably gave him $9k for it.

hOlly bejollies man, thats a RPF. Run Away. The KBB on a 13 year old truck is not even speculated - "owner/buyer opinion" The problem with these damn things is they've entered cult status, in no small part because you cannot buy a small truck anymore and Toyota made the best example of them. Probably in that market that dealer decided to inflate accordingly. Find a truck in a normal market from a private seller.

Lucky. My old man truck had 61k when I got it about a year ago. But he opted for the 4cyl auto with ADD 4wd so he didn't have to get out to lock the hubs. Total old guy truck :anonymous:
