I came across two sites that sells remanufactured ammo. One is freedom munitions and bite the bullet. Has anyone purchased ammo from these vendors and if so, how is the quality?

I've bought about 500rds of remanufactured 38 and 500rds of new 357 ammo from freedom munitions. Every round was clean and uniform and fired so they are good ammo. But with the price of ammo so low now, I just buy new ammo.

I want both of those. The M1A might happen soon. The SVT-40...i know nothing about so need to research them more. But they seem overpriced for what they are thanks to import bans

Freedom Munitions is good to go. Wont save to much over new with prices being pretty low these days though. MAC (military arms channel) actually shoots a ton of it and did a video on it not to long ago. No clue on the other one

I've never had any problems with them. The first few shipments I weighed everything religiously to make sure they were accurate with their powder loads, but after 1000 rounds I gave up and just shot them. Never had any problems with their products, new or reman'd. With the prices of ammo now you don't save a whole lot going for the reloads vs new production, but I keep buying my plinking ammo from them because they're a smaller organization than some of the ammo powerhouses out there like Federal or Winchester, and I'd rather support that.

What problems have you had? Saying a product sucks and then not saying why doesn't lend a lot of weight to your statement.

Plus, since I shoot their products on a regular basis, I'd like to know if I should be watching out for something.

I didn't elaborate because I didn't want to start any kind of war. But the number one problem that was showing up was split cases because the casing was too thin to the point where you can see the casing swelled out where the bullet was pushed in and stopped., primarily on 380s this showed up. I will admit, I am already not a fan of reloads or secondary market ammo but was still open to try them and that was the results we found. For the extra two dollars, to me it's just worth buying Main Stream.

Hm. I don't have any of their .380, but I'll keep an eye out for it on their other stuff going forward.

Are you talking about freedom munitions? Or the other one?

I've never had a problem with their ammo. Now their shipping times are another story, Amazon prime has ruined me .

Actually I think I might retract my statement about the cases in freedom munitions, now that I open the box and I am reminded of the ammo it may have NOT been freedom that I was having splitting case issues. I do apologize because I have used a lot of different manufacturers and get a lot donated to me. Upon re-opening the freedom box I am reminded that all of their casings are chromed and the casings we were having a problem with were straight up brass, so I'm going to look a little further into this to see what manufacture for specific it was. I apologize to freedom

I see, there's another company called freedom ammo I believe that you are to stay away from iirc. Like I've said, I've never had an issue with freedom munitions.

They were purchased at a local gun shop or gun show, are they normally not sold over the counter?

Woohoo! Got my slide back today with the newly installed XS big dots. Love them already! My eye catches the front dot so quickly. Can't wait to try em out.
