ordered unbulit truck from dealer in KY 7 weeks ago dealer told me 4-6 weeks tell delivery. Got into contact with salesman on the 6th week and he said truck was she scheduled to be built on March 11th. How much longer should it be dealer won't give another estimate due to there incredibly wrong estimate last time. 2017 white tacoma sr 5 speed manual 4x4

Orders take up to 3 months. Once the truck is actually built, usually a week before it's on the lot. Maybe 10 days.

If you don't have a real VIN, your truck doesn't exist in any tangible form yet.

I Ordered my Truck back in December and it just went down the Assembly line about 10 Days ago, if everything stays on Schedule it should be at my Dealer around the end of the Month. I don't know if that helps you out at all but thought you might like to know what my timeline was, and I Ordered an Off Road Manual with P&T.

The 4 Cylinder has never had an option above a 5 Speed Manual.

Ahh did not see that. Thanks. My friend has a 17 and I was pretty sure he had a 6 speed.

Yeah, sounds like he would have a 6 Cylinder in a Sport, Off Road, or Pro.

Yup his is TRD Off Road.
Seriously, why don't they make more trucks with manual transmissions? -from what I know the Tacoma is literally the only truck that still comes with a manual

Since you are in KY then what my Dealer told me should probably apply to you too, they said after its built it takes the Train from Texas to the Port in Chicago which takes about 7 to 10 Days, then they do Port installed options and then schedule a Semi for the trip to the Dealer which can take from 1 to 3 weeks.

The Colorado/Canyon in 2 wheel drive, the Nissan in both 4x2 and 4x4, Dodge Ram is the only Full Size, and of course our beloved Tacoma, hope the new Ranger offers it in more than base models.

I didn't think Nissan still made Frontiers in manual? At least not the 2017's?

And sorry OP, do not mean to thread jack.

They still offer it, it is still the same platform they have had for at least the past 12 years or so.

I ordered my TRDOR MT at the end of November. I was told today that it'll be "at port" on the 21st, but no further timeframe. So still another 1-3 weeks, then?

The shitty part is I'm only 25 miles from where it's built. Didn't realize it had to leave here to go to Chicago and back...

I highly doubt that your Truck would go to the Port for my Region, there is probably a Port near you somewhere close by.

I hope so. Seems terribly inefficient otherwise.

Yeah, I am aware of one Port in California to handle parts of the West Coast and the one in Chicago for my area of the Country, surely they have a Southern Port somewhere and probably a couple other ones strategically placed around the Country.

Yeah, a little research turned up a port in Houston. Much more reasonable. Hopefully it'll be here by the end of next week. It's been a long four months... Lol

It took me from thanksgiving ('16) to Valentines ('17) you do the math. But once they call me to let me know of built date it went really fast, patience, its well worth it !!
