    You don't need 4WD. 2WD and e-brake will get you anywhere a 4WD can go.

    When things get icy here, 4WD is pretty handy to have. Lots of little hills all throughout Salem. Its funny watching 2WD cars (even with chains or studded tires) trying to get around town. Also, I just didn't want to deal with chains. I have M+S AT tires so any time of the year, I can just hop in the truck and go.

    I know you've been around long enough to know what snow is. I'm sure you also know the many variations of snow. You can drive in 2wd in 22" of cold smoke, while 8" of Cascade concrete makes it difficult to get around in 4wd.
