Better to ask what I have not done.
When you park your truck and walk around it to get your backpack and notice a guy is stairing at the truck and starts asking questions making him sound like he knows what he is talking about and then asks what lift the front is :bananadead:

    Build thoughts.

Stop building the EAF Tundra. Sell bed rack and keep close to stock for trailer towing/yard work? Finish building 4runner and try and steal back from the wife?

Both sit where you see them, the 4runner more built with the rear locker, gears, bumper and winch. Tundra would need a full build including more lift/tire, gears, locker, bumper. I'm torn at this point and as @Gramps knows I've been flip flopping on this issue. Crissy seems to not care enough about 4wheeling to direct me to have a dedicated 4wheeler just for her.

@NYCO do you have any thoughts on this? I guess you would still say build both because KK already has a built FJ.

I think the Tundra would make a better EXPO type rig while the 4runner is better suited for the tight trails. I keep going back and forth on this possibly because I don't want to miss a wheeling season again.

My 2 cents which value may be way less than that-

Unless you have a money tree[IMG]

I would go with one that is closer to your ideal finished product. When it is, you can switch back.

I miss my 4runner. It was built for expo/trails and while it made sense to sell it when I did, being down here I wish I still had it now. The tundra makes more sense as far as space, and if your hauling toys, but if the 4runner is already that much further along it make sense to use that platform to me. Plus I always love seeing a built 4th gen, not as common.

I'll say it again - I'd continue with the 4Runner. Sometimes I find myself contemplating getting rid of the taco for one :crapstorm: I'm not sure what you'd be able to take from the Tundy and move to the 4Runner. I don't think the 4 Seasons RTT will fit on the runner too well.

What would Crissy be driving if you took her vehicle away?

The money plant is a annual, and we seem to be in a drought year. :(

My ass! She is not happy that I want to take that. She see why it makes sense because of the money though.

The way I see it - drive the trails you want to or drive the trails you're only able to. Family members will still be able to fit in both rigs. One will just be more crammed than the other.

Although, the Tundra did do pretty good on Rim Rocker and Elephant Hill last year.

I see both sides of the coin here.

My GF's old apartment unit was directly over a garage where a guy worked on his VW Beetle all the time. Her place reeked of gasoline on most weekends. And he used a compressor/impact set up which is quite intrusive even if during "normal hours."

But I also think it's okay if you rent a garage that you can use it to maintain your vehicles.

    I'm just glad I live in a house :)
