I use insoles in some of my everyday shoes, so I tried some in my Keene Targhee IIs last fall and found I liked the factory insoles better. They just fit better...no low spots or high spots. I think it's going to be different from person to person and shoe to shoe.

Those look nice. I've always worn trail running shoes when backpacking. I can't do boots, but these look almost like a hybrid that I just might have to try!

Are you usig full length ones?

The Superfeet have a solid rear heel cup that ensures it doesn't move at all.

I just noticed they have a brand new one marketed to hikers. I usually wear the Green but I may have to try these.

Just a bunch of old crap
I'll check them out and try them in an older pair of hiking shoes that have been cast aside.

I use Superfeet blue in just about every shoe I own, including my motocross boots. They provide a tight, supportive feel that stock soles cannot.

    Bug Nets:

It doesn't appear to be directly addressed, only mentioned in time with tents that integrate it.......so what are folks running in terms of bug nets on their hammocks? I realize that several in here have hammocks with attached nets, but I'm looking for just the bug net itself. The hammock is question is a double.

I have an ENO bugnet that I found on sale. ive only used it once, but it seemed to work just fine. its a stand alone net so I can take it or leave it.

Do you recall the model name? I'm finding a few selections in the ENO line of bug nets. And is it side or bottom entry?

I know some folks are loyal to the fancier American brands, but I really like this underquilt: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0167IYGH6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's not the lightest or smallest, but it's very manageable and has worked well for me thus far. I hammock camp primarily in the SE, so I'm not sure how well it would do down into freezing temps.
