Aftermarket installed leather. It didn't come with leather from the factory. It has the 17" TRD Sport wheels.

I'm some what speculating. It's possible they took a Limited and made it look like a TRD Sport but it looks and seems far more likely that they took a TRD Sport, put leather in it, put the badge on the back and are now calling it a Limited TRD Sport. And by "they" I mean either the previous owner or the dealerships.

There's nothing wrong with that necessarily but I wanted to let you know that that particular configuration is not something Toyota offers from the factory.

Okay, found it on the dealer site:
    http://www.ashevilletoyota.com/used/Toyota/2016-Toyota-Tacoma-5c69e96c0a0e0ae8490a3e22817e47a7.htm

Not great pics of the side but you can see the little limited badge on the rear door and the TRD Sport sticker on the bedside. But like you said, probably added later.

Honestly, teach her to drive manual, out of all the tacomas I test drove. I hated the feel and drive of the auto's the transmission just isn't where it needs to be right now. I absolutely love my 2017 DCSB Manual Tacoma I bought. The thing is a beast.

All the issues Toyota is willing to bother with were worked out. Many 17s have no where near the issues of the 16s. Anything else will be a TSB...

Just a couple of thoughts, I'm not sure what year Subaru, but the 2016+ models have 8.7inches of ground clearance and the Taco has 9.1 inches...... not a big difference.

Also, if you drive 70+mph, it won't get great mileage. It's a lot like the Taco in that respect.

Doesn't her Subaru have AWD? For most purposes of general transportation, it will do anything the Tacos will. If she is going to go offroading, that is different.

All that being said, she wants a truck, and wants to store more gear (bed cap?), and wants to offroad and maybe grow into a more aggressive vehicle? By all means go for the Taco.

We have a 2016 NA Forester, it's way more zippy than my Taco.

Don't forget Limited only comes as DCSB in the US not a LB.

well one of those two vehicles is a truck after all. There really is no comparison between the two driving wise, IMO. But a Forester really is not equipped to carry sheetrock, although in a jamb it probably could.
Really like the Tacoma and the Forester, but the Subaru is more fun to drive.

Her Subaru is a 1996 Outback and yes, it has AWD. It's a decent little car in good shape for its age but it's starting to show and feel it's age. She already replaced the head gasket, which I heard is a common problem, but some kind of upgrade is definitely in the near future. I have given her a few manual driving lessons in my 2004 Tacoma and I have no doubt she'll pick it up no problem. I mentioned a new Subaru and she said, "No, been there, done that." Definitely one of the appeals is the ability to put on a camper shell and carry more gear and car camp.

I have a Class 3 Hitch on the Forester...... and a trailer with a 8'X4' bed. I can haul sheetrock with it. ;)

Well, if she wants to upgrade, then plenty good enough reason. We have a 16 Forester and a 16 Taco, both are good vehicles.

The truck is essentially unchanged. I haven't had problems with 22K+ miles. Been a good truck.

Have her test drive it......a long test drive. Even ask about a weekend trial to see if she really likes the truck and decide from there.
