Thinking about installing a leveling kit on my taco, does anybody have pros and cons? Also should I get the 2" or 3" spacers?

Side note, my front bumper is steel and weighs 150 ish pounds.

    Pros: easy and cheap option

Cons: stiffer ride, limited suspension uptravel due to spacers, wont help with sag caused by heavy bumper over time (higher rate springs would solve this)

    Thanks,
Do you have any suggestions as to which springs are better?

It really depends on how you plan to use it and what you want to put on the truck in the future. Most guys here go with OME 885s, 886s, or 887s. The 885s and 887s are the same spring rate, the 887s are just a little longer. I would consider 885s or 887s if you dont plan on putting a winch in it. On the other hand if you do want to add a winch and other heavy things in the future like sliders, skids or a dual battery, i would consider 886s or aftermarket coilovers with a 700lb coil. I believe the tacoma springs are 590lb/inch while the 886s are about 660lb/in. Many folks say the 886s are quite stiff so id definitely do some more research on those but they seem to be quite popular.

As for me, i just ordered king RR coilovers with 700lb coils bc i have an ARB and plan on adding a winch and maybe a couple other things up front.

Yes call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and tell her what your set up is and how much lift you'd like. She can set you up with bilsteins and ome coils preassembled and ready to install. They'll give you a much better ride and actually function very well

Doing some exploring on some BLM land in Montana after getting my ARB bumper and OME lift kit installed, good times. The friend in the red prerunner only had to get towed out once, haha.
