I still check on this forum from time to time just to compare with what I paid for my 17 in December. Sometimes I'm curious.

Best way to do it is take a picture of the finance paper, white out personal info, and post it. No your interest rate and extra you pay over 60 months isn't personal, but I have noticed some reason people don't want you knowing how much their giving to the lien holder.

Damn. Wish I would've done a little more research.

Did I get shafted? Or just could've done better?

Comparison is killing your happiness, or as Mark Twain said, "comparison is the death of joy." If you were happy with the price is all that matters.

At this price you could hold out for a dealer with a Pro!

    You
got over $2k off MSRP on a TRD off road with a manual transmissions. Manuals are in limited supply and are high demand so $2k is typical. If your happy with the truck that's what matters.

Unfortunately that line is a typical sales pitch - if the dealer has something then it's "rare, and hard to find", but if you're trading that rare and hard to find vehicle, then the line is "yeah, they didn't make many of those because nobody want's them".

$20,500 after taxes. $1,250 rebate, $250 off because it was on the lot, and $15,500 for my trade in.

Sorry typing in 3 threads here. Basic 2017 TRD Sport AC 4x4 MT w/tow package, MSRP was $34,418. The dealer had already done the vinyl wrap and put in a bed mat. Trade was a 2011 SR5 AC auto 4x4 with 113000 on the clock.

Hmm, just bought my 2017 Taco 4x4 TRD OR with tow package, NAV, etc. and paid $34,900 OTD. This included a trade-in value of 16,000K for an '11 Taco PreRunner. KBB value was $15 to 17,000 for trade in. So, mid range value....but it needed new tires, belts, timing, etc. plus some body work for deep scratches on front right bumper....so I figure I got a fair price. Kelley's also valued the TRD package I bought as between $35,850 to $38,500. So, I'm happy. Now, if Toyota could solve the incessant shifting of the tranny while using cruise control....I would be very happy.

....was the 11 paid off? Otherwise, that's over 40k for the '17....

    Lol! Yep. Typical car dealerships.
You try to trade in a truck with a $5,000 lift on it they offer you less because you didn't keep it fully stock and turn around sell the truck for above market value because it has a lift. Car dealerships are a joke.

Is paying basically the invoice price + fees a good deal? I see a lot of people are getting their tacos for below invoice but the dealerships in my area say that's impossible.

Depends on the fees. A lot of prices quoted in thread are misleading because of trade-in, local taxes, registration fees etc. If you want a better deal, I would check your local metro area.
