Yep GO TUNDRA or go home. To date the best mod I've done. Hands down!

 

Did the Tundra brake mod on my 04 DC 4x4. Chose to go w/ the bigger 13WL Calipers off of a 2006 Tundra limited 4x4. Stops on a dime. It doesn't take long to do either if you have someone helping you. I added Wheeler's brake lines too.

 

Finally got to use a tow strap- Was coming home in this blizzard and there was an old guy hopelessly stuck in the snowbank. It's NASTY out right now and didn't feel right leaving him there to wait for a tow. Why people venture out in shit like this in small cars is beyond me.

 

Yep the 13WL is the way to go.

 

Finally got around to putting the flares back on. Bought some weather striping at parts store for paint protection. Looks way better. The line kind of had some runs on the edges but went easy.

 

Also did plugs and wires. Ngk for both. CEL for number two misfire cleared up.

Hey folks I am looking for a set of 80" rock sliders with a rear bump out that are bolt on's. Any ideas or suggestions ???

 

They need to be bolt on as I am not able to weld.....

 

I did not see them offered any longer. This seems to be an ongoing situation!!! Take a look at their site for me. I migth have missed them...

 

Pretty sure they don't make bolt on first gen sliders. Can you not find a local on here who welds?

 

Rained so much I now have waterfront property... Time to see if the taco can make it out to the middle. That is technically a road bed.

 

I've never noticed that growth right after the fender flares on the lower bedside on standard beds.

 

Quick question. Is the Tundra brake mod, just a matter of caliper, rotor, pads from a certain year (?) Tundra? I've looked for procedure but couldn't find it, just that everyone has done it.

 

Yup bolt on process minus cutting/bending the dust shield back. Just get the parts from a 04 tundra and then get the wheelers brake lines and everything will line up.



I went the more expensive route, much cheaper options out there

 

i have CBI bolt on sliders with kick out on my 98 xtra cab. dont know the exact length but i'd look at their site, the sliders are great, don't require drilling into the frame and can be installed by one person

 

How much does the caliper protrude out? I've been wondering if my h3 wheels can clear them.
