I suggest the following options combined:
    TRD Exhaust
    TRD Cold Air Intake
    TRD Air Filters
    TRD Brake Pads
    TRD Radiator Cap

How will the Brake pads and radiator cap make him get any more power?

Figured it was sarcasm but he started off with things that could potentially help, then ended with radiator caps so I was a bit thrown off.

There are also some y-pipes from Thorley and URD.
Here are a couple products coming to market. The 2nd link will probably make the bolt-on stuff more worthwhile.

Educate me, I keep hearing about regearing to a 4:88 or 4:56 almost every american made truck has either 3:73, 3:43 and sometimes 3:90 which is powered by a V6 or V8 granted they are full size and produce more hp and torque so why isn't a 3:90 or 4:30 on these trucks good enough? Just asking!

Exact reason I don't have a 3rd gen Tacoma in my driveway. I like to have decent torque just past idle in a truck.

@oldman52 Most of the time, folks re-gear to address the changes made when adding taller tires. Installing taller tires is essentially like going to a numerically lower gear ratio and going up in rear gear ratio (again numerically) brings the drivetrain back to spec. Additionally, taller tires adds weight, so going to a numerically higher gear makes it easier to turn those heavier tires.

If you want to increase low end torque then a regear will work but if you want to increase HP then a y pipe that removes the rear cats will work best.

For the OP, just get something with more power. This ain't your truck.

    • Im in the same boat as you OP. This truck is gutless. I regret my purchase and i cant afford to take the hit on a trade in at this point. Its a great looking truck with nice features, but with mpg being not much better than a tundra there is no benefit of going with a tacoma. Ive been hoping that someone might release a programmer to help with the weak low end.

Although I always enjoy more power, I don't exactly see the huge problem with power on these trucks. I've owned 2 22re pickups and a 2000 model 2.7, talk about gutless. WV is nothing but hills and mountains and my truck still doesn't seem bad.
