    FLASHBACK:
This happened sometime in 1999 when we were living in Virginia Beach. One of our next door neighbors had a mint condition red 1990 Mazda RX-7 convertible.

One summer day, my mom was in the house and noticed a young guy on the neighbors' property. My dad was at work, and I may have been at home with my mom, but neither of us remembers for sure.

This young guy walked up to the garage door and tried several times to open it via the keypad. He then walked over to the RX-7, opened the driver’s door and plopped down behind the wheel. He shut the door and was running his hands over the steering wheel, getting a feel for the car, just like you’d expect a guy to do in a dealer’s showroom. Freaked out, my mom called 911 and was describing everything she was seeing to the dispatcher. They were just about to send the cops when my mom saw the guy get out of the car and make another attempt with the garage keypad. This time the door opened, and he went inside. He came back out with the neighbors' lawnmower and proceeded to cut the grass. It was now pretty obvious what was going on. This was some young guy our neighbor was paying to mow the lawn, and he had forgotten the code for the garage door keypad. My guess as to why he got in the car is that he was looking for a garage door opener. Also, as a car-obsessed guy myself, I believe it is also possible that he couldn’t resist sitting in my neighbor’s shiny red sports car.

Yes my bad I do tend to be confused by the generation thing .

As far as I know my 2000 is a second generation I was told

I have no idea just what vehicles are in what generation when 3 vehicles of the same year are all in different generations

Yes I know I am quite stupid leaving school after fifth grade I try.

They started with the "tacoma" name in model year 1995. They didn't change the vehicle appreciably until model year 2005. MY2005+ is, at least as far as the internet goes, called "2nd generation". Yours is most definitely "1st generation".

Also, you are NOT going to find "3 vehicles of the same year are all in different generations".

Its easy... 1995-2004 = first gen.
    2005+ = second gen.
Some people like to refer to 2016+ as 3rd, but IMO, slightly altered body stamps don't count. Most parts are interchangable between 2005 and 2017. More, in fact, than between 1995 and 2004.

    Flashback!

These were taken at Puck, less than 2 months after I got my driver's license! The lovely lady standing next to me is my cousin. Growing up with the stubborn Tacoma-driving Aspie who wrote this thread inspired her to become a school psychologist and help younger versions of me...

Hell, my odd childhood behavioral quirks were specifically mentioned in her college thesis!

Pretty sure I posted this picture before, but here it is again. This was back in July 2011 (like 2 months after I got my driver's license). One of my friends with AS is a certified peer mentor, and the service provider he used to work for held a charity car wash in the parking lot of a 7-11 in Warminster to benefit the Youth Council.

It was brutally hot that day. An intellectually disabled teenage girl from the Youth Council was standing by the road holding up a sign to get the attention of passing motorists, but it wasn't long before she started succumbing to the hot July sun. My truck was rather dirty when I showed up that morning, so I dropped a $20 bill in the donation jar and they washed my truck. When they were finishing my truck, I had a brilliant idea!

Even if it was 75℉-85℉ with little or no humidity, most people driving by aren't gonna pay much attention to short girl holding a sign. She had a beach chair with a built-in umbrella, and a huge bottle of water, but if she sat down to rest, not one person would notice her. I approached one of the event organizers and suggested that the girl stand in the bed of a pickup truck and hold up the sign. When she sat got too hot, she could sit down in the shade of the umbrella and still hold up the sign. The woman loved the idea, but said that nobody had a pickup truck, even though one of the volunteers had just driven to the event in one and was having it washed!

Keep in mind that this was one of the "normal" organizers and not someone with an intellectual disability!

I rolled my eyes, unclipped my keys from my belt loop, showed her the key with the big Toyota emblem on it, and then glanced over at my Tacoma, which the other Youth Council members had just finished washing...

    Obviously, my idea worked great!
    272756_2217615357139_6729638_o-1.jpg

The original picture was HUGE and showed the girl sitting in the bed of my truck, but the girl was 17 at the time and her mother (one of the volunteers present) and didn't want any pictures of her underage daughter on the internet (can't say I blame her). I cropped the picture before posting it, but even though I kept the original version, this was almost 6 years ago and the files are LONG GONE!

    More pics from that day...

My photos from the blizzard that we got on my 28th Birthday!

This region as a whole got clobbered, but a lot of areas including mine were spared the absolute worst of it.

Anybody else in the region got pictures of their Tacomas in the snow,, or just crazy weather-related photos in general?
