Hahah seen these on CL and exactly what I thought. This person probably got a good deal on a bunch of sets of the knockoffs and are tryna make an extra buck, or possibly a few hundred. Ive seen that happen here on this island.

I personally would rather have a well known name brand thats been around for awhile, like enkei, weld, centerline….for that style Volks or Rays. Sometimes not worth cheaping out on lower or unknown quality. Pretty much why I like running OEM for off roading.

I guess I have mixed feelings on the topic. I can see if we're racing or doing 100+, you'd want a wheel that you can trust you life on. But for wheels to bash on, I can see why you wouldn't want to spend the extra money. I mean, they all meet minimum requirements.
Even some stock wheels, like the TRD pro "SEMA" wheels are made in Thailand. Same factory that Stealth custom series uses. And first gen TRD "Ivan Stewarts" are just rebranded Niches..

I wasn't trying to sound high maka, wheels are wheels. Its just funny that there are so many companies saturating the market with cheap offerings, people forget what the originals were.

Nah yeah true, wheels are wheels..if bugga hold, then its doing its job…but I still dont wanna risk it just to find out later. Ive seen a lot of people are satisfied with the stealth custom series but then I end up buying another set of stock toyota rims just to use. Ive busted a few oem toyota wheels already and I guess all on driver. Also guess I always figure its easier to find a stock rim then ordering another.
Another thing too, is accountabilty on wheel manufacturers or distributors if anything did happen.

One of the things I disliked and find funny too is all the knock offs and them thinking some others are real. Like you said, some just forget or dont know what the originals were. Then you have the eagle589/american racing baja/mickey thompson classic rims that people will claim are alcoas. Or the knock off brand rims and people are buying the stickers and passing them off as the more expensive ones.

Trying to do some research though on the wheels, from that quick google search theyre relations race wheels and sold for around $180 for a set. Kinda looks like a new company, or atleast the site is. Im not convinced id buy a set, but I would spend the time to hear or read how they hold up to different driving conditions.

yeah, I was a little skeptical about the FN Countersteers, but I saw guys running them with positive feedback. also, the vendor didn't seem to flaky so I felt as if it was a pretty safe investment. are the Countersteers a knockoff of another (older) design? I know the BFD's are pretty much like the Volks and Rays right? I don't really have much experience with modding anything prior to my current truck

Talk to Ray if you're interested in his wheels. Right now they have discounted pricing and discounted shipping........stateside. I am not sure if shipping to HI would be the same or not.

Hahahaha yeah youre right!…guess I shouldnt be posting while im high, but eh, better than when im on the internet drunk and go on a buying spree!:D

Didnt know theyre a vendor here, the price Rayrrw posted isnt a bad price and has people who like em. $720-800 for a set of rims definitely is better than $2500up for a set of name brand, even crazier are the guys spending upwards of $4-5k for 20-22x14s, but its not my money. I actually do like the look of the RR4 and think they would match a datsun 620 really well, yet I dont know if I really would pull the trigger on em just yet. Plus theres some issues of the center bore not fitting over some dust caps? Or was it just the hub caps not fitting? Im trying to go thru that whole thread to see what kind of terrain they put stuff thru. Still a fairly new rim. they do have that stamp that theyre approved in Japan ah?

Idk, knowing my history ill rash up any rims even if its the Reals that I spent $1500 on…oh wells. And even though I do like Reals/Welds/Centerlines I have seen my fair share of the failures, especially the reals.

The center bore on those wheels are 108mm. Not really hubcentric then.

No, not hub caps. That's the hub bore that keeps the wheel centered on your hub. So, with those wheels you probably would want to use a hub centric ring adapter to keep the wheel centered when mounted on the hub. The wheel would have a little play on the hub.

Im just confusing myself, but was thinking that one member with the 4th gen Runner was saying the hub cap wouldnt work on the rim since the dust cap sticks out, so he had to add spacers.
