Omg it was fucking awesome. I put a roast in the crock pot last night about 1030 so when I got up this morning it was ready. Brought it to work and we made some buttermilk mashed potato's. Then had to add some bacon and ranch suddenly salad with some tomatoes. Then at dinner we saw all that gravy in the crock pot and said some rice would be awesome with that gravy and cooked some up. I hit the recliner after that meal and was put in less than 3 minutes.

Oh and the store didn't have any bacon ranch suddenly salad so we bought the classic kind with a pack of dry ranch dressing and a pack of bacon pieces. Made our own.

Got a full 9 hours of sleep last night. That hasn't happened in months. Hoping for a reasonable day, then ANOTHER good night of sleep. That could put me back to feeling like a human again. This has been one hell of a rough stretch over the last couple weeks. Time to turn the corner and have a stretch of GOOD times.

Our accountant called last night. 2016 taxes ready to sign and send. She said that it's GOOD NEWS...:fingerscrossed:

Yep. I used to be able to sleep when I had a chance, and go 24/7 when I had to do that. Now I have to stay pretty much on a set routine or else....This getting old shit is for the birds. I had a "come to Jesus conversation" with my boss yesterday. He was told (by club president) to sit down, shut up, and LISTEN to what I had to say. I made it clear to him he's simply burning us out on his crazy work agenda. And I told him that I'm one cross word away from heading out the door. I also let him know I can't keep up the 6 and 7 day a week bullshit. I could do that 20 years ago, but not now....We'll see if any of this soaks in.

I do a rotation of 4 nights, 3days, 3 nights, 4 days. All 12 hour shift unless you get stuck with 16. But then I get 15 days off in a row. And I get paid for 4 of them days off.

Ooohhhh I see what your schedule is now. DuPont in a city about 20min away from me has that schedule. I was interviewed there last year and hired but turned it down because it didn't pay as much as my job now. I wanted that job because the schedule. Oh well

We used to work this when I was in the union we all loved it. Then a company bought us out gave us stupid money, but took the schedule away. Management could still keep it, so they had been trying to get me to take a management job for 10 years. So I bit the bullet so I could have the days off. Union people have been working 7 days a week because we can't get people who want to do this kind of work.

    Mostly just bitch about stuff....:anonymous:

My job title changes almost weekly. Current status is "Facilities maintenance engineer". I supervise a maintenance crew, negotiate contracts with vendors and outside contractors, and catch hell over the lack of available funding to maintain a 112 year old country club. Job description has a lot of crossed out words and white out on it....
