Hows the pressure on it ? i mean can you like hook an air hose to it and use it to dust yourself off from being in the sand box as well as using small tools and tire inflation ?

Whats the insurance like over there, I've heard from an army guy stationed in Italy that insurance is like $600 a month, thats pretty terrible. Also whats the deal with fuel, will cars from US accept EU octane rating no problem?

Couple days ago I did this and posted it elsewhere on TW but thought some people might want to see my 'TRD-style' valve cover. Did 3-4 coats of extra thick red paint to cover up the textured bits as much as possible, then used a nice white paint pen from the craft store to do the letters and clear coated everything with satin clear coat. Pretty sure it was this: https://www.stuff4crafts.com/painte...K-3AWzOZnKZtkGEBzLe6v3uI1fmEw-qBOARoC-dDw_wcB
red paint, but I don't remember the brand on the paint pen. Here are the results:34.jpg

There are actually a few reasons. The backlight is one. We also tested out a few different sizes and liked the smaller size best because it makes it easier to spin the knob by rolling it in your fingers vs a wrist movement. This is personal preference of course but I like the knob vs the wheel controls because it lets me go from really loud to really quiet in one quick motion. The smaller knob rotates more than a larger one does for the same amount of "finger roll." It was enough a difference to make me prefer the smaller knob. The last reason is that the smaller diameter exerts less force on the radio posts. The stock knobs don't stick out as far so its less of an issue but our knobs stick out more. The larger diameter combined with more stickout resulted in just a tiny amount of noticeable wobble... they still worked just fine but I didn't like how they felt as much. All of this is minutiae in a lot of ways but we did think about the diameter... it wasn't a random decision :)

Do you go through the German TUV Safety Inspections or do you get them done on Post? Be careful what Mods you make to suspension etc. because you could get failed on inspection and have to revert to Stock setup.

Excellent point on the Hondo knobs! Now everyone has heard it from the horses mouth so to speak! Lol. Great job. I hated the other knobs, even though I have steering wheel controls, I still like the knobs.

I've got a red TRD button but it's 11-pin not 8-pin...trying to figure out how to build my own harness for it when I find myself with a spare afternoon. I'll keep ya posted.
