Ok I find this weird. Just got under my truck yesterday to just look around and check my cv boots. Well I wiggled my drivers cv and it didn't budge(clamshell installed), then I wiggled my passenger side cv and it wiggles about a 1/8 of an inch. There is no leaking, popping or vibration when driving. I was just wondering if this is normal, or if it's something I should be worrying about. It's 13 TRDOF TACO. With a 3in lift on 33s.

It wouldn't let me upload the video...

Usually it's the other way around, driver's side wiggles and passenger is tight.

Probably busted depending on how much play there is. Replace with NAPA lifetime CVs and you're good to go.

Thing is I just replaced it a few weeks ago with a duralast one from autozone.

    Does it engage in 4wd?

Just checked it, and yes 4wd engages. It made a louder sound than normal though. Could the cv axle already be bad? Because the shift dosnt wiggle a lot. It's the silver cylinder that actually moves. I can't tell if it's moving where is actually inserts into the diff. Like I said it's not leaking, and it's not marking and noises or vibrations driving down the road. I'm probably worried about nothing but I want to be safe instead of sorry. Ya know

I drove with a busted CV for almost 10,000 miles. Never had vibrations or clicks or anything but 4wd didn't work. When I replaced it, it literally fell apart in pieces inside the diff. I'd say you're safe to drive with it, especially since 4wd works. It probably just isn't an exact fit because autozone.

This might be your problem. I had one I bought temporarily while I fixed my OEM one. I thought the cv from the parts store wasn't quite right. Mine was from Advanced Auto, but it looked just like the one you have.

Good thing I still have my OEM but with a busted boot. Do you know a good high angle cv boot that I could purchase? If not I'm going to do the stretch mod.

CVJs. I heard they're quality but expensive.

Everyone on here suggests NAPA CVs. I beat the HELL out of them in the desert. Was constantly in 4wd for a couple days. They work great. Haven't had a problem.

2.5" shitty spacer. Angles aren't horrible but aren't the best. And haven't had a problem with boots busting. Just the ones from the previous owner as he wasn't the smartest and didn't really know about 4wd.

looks normal to me, maybe a little more than OEM, but if you have no leaks, no issues with 4wd, run it.

These are my angles I got on cv axles. I'm sitting at 23 1/2in from hub to fender. I don't know if that matters.
