Yesterday I changed the stock Hitachi shocks on my 2016 Limited for a set of Limited Bilsteins 5100, set at "0". The ride is tighter, more controlled and the jittery feeling is completely gone. The truck feels more planted, and it absorbs ripples on the road. Much better overall. And also a quieter ride. Highly recommend this. Feels like a different truck.

According to Bilstein the 4600s and the 5100s are the same shock internally. Main difference is that that 5100s, even the Limited version, are adjustable, and they have a better outside build. The 4600 are standard equipment on the OR. There are several sets of 4600s for sale in TW from people who have lifted their Tacomas and they can be had for a good price (maybe $100 - 150), so if you have an SR, SR5 or Limited this is a significant ride improvement, particularly if you do not plan to lift your truck. With the smaller wheels in the SR and SR5 (Limited has 18") the ride difference may be even more significant. I went with the 5100s because I found them locally for a price I could not pass up, and installation is basically the same for either set.

The 4600s should be standard equipment on all Tacomas.

Love the multicam bro. Could you do this in different color schemes? It looks really good, Id be stoked to find a way to get some color into my all black and gray interior. Only color so far is my redhead shift knob.

Should have time this weekend to focus on new knobs. Trying to do something functional and dirt cheap. Hoping for a $5 to $6 delivered option to remedy the factory tiny slick knobs.

Nice! I am also trying to get rid of all the chrome. Have you done the rings around the air vents?

Thank you guys for your service! I was born in Heilbronn and lived there for about 3 years while my Dad was in the Army. Are you guys familiar with that area? I've seen pictures of his firebird trans am with the plates 1982-1990. I plan on getting back there one of these days with him, I do not remember much as I was very young.

My insurance isn't quite that bad, but it is 450 a month. I honestly haven't checked into the fuel differences, as I just gas up on base. Its nearly double the price downtown paying German prices, so I just don't bother.

Yep I checked into what I could and couldn't get done. Suspension is the one that gets tricky. Either way, when I priced out a 2500 dollar suspension.. it was gonna cost an additional 1800 in shipping and import/duty fees. That just isn't worth it to me.. Id rather wait until I got back and be able to afford Kings.

New rims came in. Test fit did not go well. They are just grazing the brake caliper. I'm not surprised because the backspace is only 4". Now I'm going to need spacers. Can I get away with a 1/4" plate and still have enough thread engagement or do I have to bit the bullet and get bolt-on 1" spacers? Other than the backspacing these rims are the same as factory steelies, 7x16. I'm looking the get my factory tires and TPMS swapped over to these pretty things. I'll upgrade the tire when these have given their service.

I had to google that place to find it. It looks like it is up by stugart, which is only about an hour and 45 from here I am at, so not too far.

Got an early morning mod in today before heading into the office. Nothing too crazy, but swapped out the stock chrome TRD Off-road grill for one painted "smoke pearl." I originally got a flat black one off a buddy, but thought I've seen a lot of black TRD OR grills around and wanted to do something a little different and closer to a color match for my MGM truck and Matte Gunmetal F5 wheels. Very happy with how it came out. It's hard to get a good photo that catches the light just right, but in person it looks really good IMHO.
