Yes, that is correct. What I was thinking is the SR, which does come with a MT, does not come in Inferno so my only option is TRD.
I chose the OR for the smoother ride.

I have a 17 4x4 SR5. Before this truck I had a 98 4 banger manual errythang 2wd drive Tacoma. For 13 years. I fucking love this truck. Power windows, touchy screens and Bluetooth. I got cruise control bruh. I just press a button and poof, my truck holds a speed I suggest.
Some people like their truck to have comforts. Some people like heated seats, hood scoops, or wheel so hard they need a locking rear diff.
But a lot of these people, including myself, are assholes. They don't need the locking rear diff cause they drive off-road twice a year or they drop another 4K replacing the very upgrades they bought the truck for in the first place.
I'm out here stuntin' on these motherfuckers in my SR5. Don't like my attitude tell me more about you sunroof and how you can't live without it.

    Cash me ousside.

Not sure if someone responded to this yet, as I haven't read that far, but my TRD Sport has an all black interior including the dash, doors, headliner...

I was in full agreement till you got to that line. LOL
I went from a Toy T100 to needing something more economical in a ford focus now to a 16 sr5 and I love it. I linked scout to my stereo so there is my gps (not that I didnt already have it in my phone), didnt want push button start, and the wireless charger didnt matter to me. I bought a plug in one and set it in the same place and charge my phone just fine. Have NO intention of wheeling in a $35k truck thats for damn sure but to each his own.

Should have bought the SR AC 4x4 5MT. That will do it all just as much as all the others.

SR5 here...honestly I didn't know anything when I bought my truck. I thought it was cool and fit my price range. Since then I've made some updates like a suspension lift, bigger tires, grill...

Looking back, I probably would've gone with an SR

Irony being that the "5" referred to 5 speed sticks and now you cant even get it in stick. Why not call the 4banger manual SR the SR5 and the SR5 the SR6. We all know 6 > 5, so it must be better than the previous gen SR5.... Mike said so.

I bought the SR V6 DCSB 4x4 because the dealer wanted $3k more for power locks, fog lights, and Cruise Control in a short box SR5. The cc mod is $70 prewired and plug and play, the fogs I want are $370 and that's on the higher end, and 3rd party Viper power locks with alarm and remote start installed was $300. The OR was out of my price range and those are the only features I would've wanted besides what I got.. the SR5 was poorly priced for the options imo.

I bought an SR5 in Canada. This year they put the color matched rear bumper and heated seats standard. So for $1800 more you got a push button start, navigation, fake hood scoop, and "upgraded" suspension that I'm going to replace anyways.

I just purchased a 2014, and I would appreciate all of the things you mentioned... aside from the push button start that I could care less for.

The musts for me when I ordered my truck.

    1. Manual trans
    2. But equally important as #1 Double Cab.
    3. intermittent wipers. (spent too long with my old taco without these.)

When I went to the dealership, loved the looks of the sport, even in a color I didn't want.

Most people don't build them up and a handful of options aren't available on the SR5. If you max out the features per truck at the dealer the TRD isn't much more at that point. I noticed when I was looking that a lot of dealer's put on local add-on's like rim's/tires/lift etc on SR5's and then asked upwards of 40k for the truck. I had an easier time shopping out the TRD.
