Wheel spacers for 2016 TRD sport?

i cannot find a 1" or 1.25" wheel spacer that fits my 2016 Tacoma TRD sport 4wd. Anyone??

 

Just curious... why do you need spacers??

 

i put bigger tires on that someone told me would fit and they do, barely. sometimes they rub a little.

 

I think we are on to something... what size tires are you running??

 

285/70/17, I also put Bilstein 5100 shocks all around with 1" blocks in the back

 

They rub occasionally on the control arms in the front. it is fine 98% of the time when driving normally which is what I do 99% of the time. One time I put it in 4 wheel drive and went to turn the corner and the truck seemed to not want to go. I think the tires were rubbing.

Thanks for the Welcome! This website is pretty cool. I have the stock wheels. The tires fit on them. I think they look like the wheels you have on your profile picture. I apparently don't know what I'm doing and just listen to people that basically tell me what to do. I honestly have no clue. The ride is good. I had to add the 1" blocks in the back because when I put the adjustable shocks in I went a little too high in the front and the truck wasn't level. now its level and rides great. just rubs a little in the front. I thought the wheel spacers would fix that.

 

they might.... so you have a TRD Sport... What we usually do with the 5100s is get new springs up front - 885's and set the 5100s to ZERO ... that will give you about ~2" of lift then add a set of progressive AAL's (add a leafs) in the back. This is for pretty much everything off road sans rock crawling.. I'm not doing rock crawling, first with a pickup and 2nd with a $35K pickup.

So that's the normal setup with the 5100s. There's a few threads around here about that and a lot of threads around about 285's.

Actually a standing joke when newbs post a first post. They usually post "will 285's fit without rub" or "what's the largest tire I can fit without rubbing?". Followed by ridicule and laughter and shortly after a lockdown of the thread! We can have some fun around these parts, so sense of humor is a good thing.

Which brings us to the next installment on this thread, and that is..... wait for it......... gonna need the spacers and likely need to get the grinder out and do a little chopping.

Putting it in 4WD won't make tires rub the UCA any more than in 2WD. I'm betting that you were just experiencing the 4WD functioning normally in that it is harder to turn versus 2WD.

OP: I'm just messing around with you... but if youre looking for spacers, just stick with Bora or Spidertrax spacers... they can be had for around $150 - $200 for a full set.

 

bora makes spacers from .75"-1.5" I believe. and spidertrax make 1.25"

Are there any advantages to using spacers on tires/wheels that don't need them?
