Bummed, but not sad.. I didn't have much emotional tie to it.

Bummed that it was fucked up and I was either not going to have it for work needs or personal needs for a while, or that all the good times had come to an end with it. Mainly though, it was just a pain in the ass timing wise to deal with a crunched vehicle, and I wasn't looking forward to the annoyance that is insurance claims.

Buuut.. it was also a blessing. Few issues with it were (a) not 4x4, (b) kinda slow af, (c) too small inside, (d) short bed filled up a little more quickly than it did before kid 1, and kid 2 is going to be here soon, which would then make the backseat almost entirely useless because 2 car seats wouldn't fit, since I'm.. tall.

Fast forward to the resolution - 2 printed checks.

    1) Check 1 paid truck off.
    2) Check 2 paid me $13k.
    3) Bought a 4Runner, more interior space! More V6! More 4x4! Sunroof! Power seats! Shitty Entune with nav! Black interior from the factory!
    4) Room for both kids.
    5) More usability particularly when adding mods to go more places.
    6) Not slow.
    7) Not too small.
    8) New toy.

.. at the end of the day, it's $175 less out of my pocket every month now compared to then.

So.. it worked out pretty great, really. New rig. Money into savings. Money to take girls on a trip somewhere before baby 2 is born. More money in my pocket. More room. More enjoyment.

Less truck bed, which is sorely missed.. but that's all I miss.

I have coilovers coming in a few weeks, rear coils in a few weeks/month.. just need rear shocks and bigger tars.

I'm hoarding everything in my garage though, and installing all at once. So, nothing going on soon except the new roof rack, and that'll still probably be a minute - until these highway tires are needing replacing or someone wants to buy the set off of me.

I have new wheels, new lugs, and new OEM TPMS sensors, so all I need to do is buy tires.
