    Hey Everyone,

New member here with a simple question that I'm having a hard time finding an answer to. My 4.0L 2006 TRD had a cone-style K&N filter on it when I purchased it. After reading all about the debate on cold air intake vs stock, I want to convert my intake back to the stock intake. I can't find parts anywhere! Anyone have a good parts source for converting back to stock intake? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think i just need the air box and the duct? Bummer that I have to spend $ to convert back to original intake.. oh well :)

    Post in the WTB forum.

Find a local group of Tacoma folks in the regional forums. There will be someone there who wants your setup, will swap their stock bits and buy your lunch to boot.

Not everyone is as sharp as you. ;)

Just an FYI, he needs to have 50 posts before he can sell or trade on TW.

@runprerun check out the North West regional forum, introduce yourself there, get to know some of the people (and vice versa), THEN post your setup for sale or trade. A lot of us meet and swap parts all the time, so you'll find someone in the group up there that'll want your setup.

Too bad. I just tossed out my 2007 Taco stock intake. Traded the truck and no longer needed it! Sorry. Just wondering why do you want to go back to stock?

@Timmystaco I guess I'm just leary of driving through the dessert and being concerned that my intake isn't filtering out the fine dust as well as a stock intake would. I know everyone has an opinion on CAI vs stock... but after doing my research, I'd like to go back to stock.

Also, thanks everyone for the replies and ideas! I may have found an intake one state away.

Craigslist, offer to trade your K&N for a stock. Someone will bite.
