I thought it might've happened when you got hung up going down that hill. I guess you could swap that one for the spare.

I know the price of quality, and within reason, I'm willing to pay for it. I carry a lot of gear in the truck on a fairly regular basis, having something more than factory 'alarm' to keep the 'honest people honest' would be worth the expense.

Well the remote start worked fine for a bit, i did lose connection to the remote once but all i had to to was push a button and it was fixed.

The problem was that the idiot there installed door actuators as a pop-n-lock in my tailgate, and then set it up to just let the tailgate fall down when you press the button... which was fucking retarded as you can get!

    Other than that, no issues.

    Not the new rims!!!

Bro, mine is not a mall crawler by any means and I still like to keep mine as clean as possible. Usually the only time my truck is dirty is if i am in the process of doing mods, or if i have been playing in the mud.

It is nice to have a louder alarm, i have a bed cover on my truck so i had the trunk function hooked up to my folding bed cover, that way if anyone opens my bed cover the alarm goes off. I also have a power Pop-N-Lock in my tailgate for extra measure...

I just have to figure out what i am going to do when i get my bed rack!

Nothing wrong with keeping a clean truck. I usually do a pre-wash on my way home from getting it dirty if not the next day. Right now mine still needs a good wash, been so busy with work and its been raining in the little free time i've had that I havent cleaned it since the last trip out. It might be kinda clean by the meet up saturday. That is if I can get time today between working on mods or saturday before the meet up.

I think our trucks maybe in the same state right now. I dont have my rear seat backs on right now because i have been dealing with subwoofer crap, need to wash the outside, vacume & dust the inside BAD!, i need to solder my antenna cable so that i can get my CB tuned and mounted in its final resting place..... the dreaded center console CB mount, and a few other mods.

I would just like to get my seat backs on, a wash and vacume before the meet. But i doubt i doubt i will was the truck before then.

My only goal is to spray off the excess dirt on the sliders, the rain hasnt quite got it all off. The hood is covered in pollen right now too. I decided to take this week off from working OT so that I had some time to work on the truck. I'm also wearing myself out and need a break from the 60hr work weeks i've been doing for 2 months. Time to see if I can get my bumper cut up for my SSO slimline to get installed today! Hopefully I dont f**k up the cut.

No cover here, I put the bikes in the back too often. Had a hard cover on my '92 F-150 years ago, that fit the look of the street truck quite well. I am looking at adding a Pop-N-Lock to the tailgate for September. I've got 2 50-gallon tubs that I put most of my camp gear in, I can have those in the bed, a couple bed bars keeping them from being lifted out from above and the locked tail gate from keeping them from being removed out the back. Not impervious to anything with more than a passing curiosity as to what's inside, but enough to keep most moving along to finding easier targets.

I plan to just remove most of my gear when i am not wheeling\camping. Will give me some peace of mind while my truck sits in the parking lot. Should only need the hi-lift and a tow strap for daily driving.

Oh, I do too, I'm just planning ahead for a 10-12 day trip in early September where I'm going to be doing a mix of camping / hotels / leaving the truck to hike / etc

Where are you mounting the CB? I bought one small enough to fit inside the center console in the cut out part by the hinges. I had to cut some of the inside but I can still access all of the plugs if I pull out the shifter surround. Didn't take long at all.

Just a few days too late, but sliders and skid finally came in.

Definitely get a speaker if mounting inside the console. Can't hear anything with it closed and it's pretty low even with it open. I almost went for the Cobra 75, but not PA capable. Don't need the PA, but wanted the novelty factor.

Mine will be in the same place as yours. I will probably have to cut the bottom out to for cables and i may get a 90 degree mic adapter and run the connection out the bottom or side. Or i may just say screw it if it closes with the mic cord running out of the console.

Hahaha. Literally the weekend before you get your sliders you damage your rocker panel!!!! :frusty:
I have already installed an external speaker, and a PA speaker. I have run all the wires i just have to mount it in the console now...

Probably prep and prime this evening so I can paint tomorrow. May not get them mounted before the meet, but will get it done this weekend.

I have an SWR meter in my truck in case anyone needs it. I'll have it at the meet. Also will bring my laptop and cable in case anyone needs seat belt chimes turned off.
