Just looking online and found a good deal on a 6ft A.R.E cap.. haven't got much details about it. To save the drive and fitment. Does anyone know if the 1st Gen has the same size bed (cap size) as the 2nd Gen ? I have access cab long box.

I think I recall seeing someone here whom put one on their truck and it looked like crap. 1st gen will be smaller in every measurement and wouldn't be something that could be made to fit. It'll secure down I think (based on someone running one) but that's the only positive. So essentially; no, not worth the hassle or money...unless you're a true function over style guy.
