Do you mean just wrap the pipe in it and surround the pipe with rock? That's what he made it sound like they do. Or did you mean wrap the pipe with rocks on the outside?

I felt pretty confident in at least the estimate guy who came. Pretty much once I told him what's up and showed him he started explaining what was going on with the water. Traced out all the saturated soil then told me to go check my crawl space (house is away from the saturated ground) just to give him an idea how far it had crept. Long story short I got a good feeling from the guy as within 5 minutes he was pointing things out I hadn't noticed before.

Their company is a landscaping but more on the clearing of land, irrigation, and water management side of it vs the rock wall and plants side

 

Oh yeah we just ran the plates wild when we were laying them

 

You lay the fabric in the ditch , put the pipe and rock in and fold the fabric over the top , keeps thd soil from contaminating the drain rock

 

Same way you do drain tile...he can probably just watch a YouTube video on it.

 

I'll have to ask for sure. He mentioned pipe, rock, and fabric but not sure in what order and all.

 

Its worth it to wrap the pipe and rock if you're going to all the trouble of doing it , just offering what I feel is best practice

 

Imagine ....a burrito the fabric is the tortilla...the rock is the meat, and the drain tile/pipe,is the cheese. Trust me it will drain...the fabric is just a safe guard to prevent contamination from soil.

 

That's how we did ours. Works great.

Makes sense. I've used the fabric over pipe just never with rock as well.

Framed our interior bearing wall and finished up a few blocking details





The 6' benches weren't cutting it so I added a couple 8's to the stable this morning

Cool , my guy is already looking into the subfloor glue , I'll get him to check costs on that too
