    Once in awhile I mix soft butter with rosemary, thyme and garlic. Refrigerate then place on a steak in a cast iron pan when it's near done. I'll try adding thyme when I do this again on Saturday. These were a test run, only Saturday it will be smoked ribs. Good stuff!

    Thank you! I will post some pics when lift, tires and wheels are on. Will probably be a 3-4 more weeks. Still got a couple more things to get. It's coming along, but sloooowly.

    When I bought my house the electrical panel was a bit of a mess but passed inspection. It had been upgraded to 200 amp service at some point, but it's a very narrow vertical box with one long neutral bar. So narrow that all the wires (coming in - or out - from the top down) basically are covering the bar on their way to the breakers. There's about 4-5 inches between the box wall and the breaker where the wires are attached. The neutral bar is in this space and all the wires run down it as well.

    As I get ready to run power to my master bath I feel compelled to clean up this rats nest of unorganized wires. I just can't stand it anymore. First I'm going to add an equipment ground bar at the top of the box to relocate most of the bare copper (as allowed by the manufacturer). This should decrease the wires running down the side by 1/3.

    After that I thought I could install some type of cable/wire brackets down the inside wall of the box that would organize/hold the wires in place, so rather than have them all just hanging there like vines from a tree they would be neatly clipped to the side wall. I haven't really found anything made for this purpose (I guess I'm just OCD) other than things like computer cable organizers. Those are mostly plastic which I would guess is a no-no in a service panel.

    Is that going to far? Just figured if I'm going to the trouble might as well...

    Yes, it's going too far. And you can use zip ties. You'd be surprised what a panel can look like and pass. Aesthetics isn't a concern.
