Actually all you DC's getting links is what motivated me to do it. That DTF kit is killer. His design with 2gen hubs is badass. It's probably the best idea I seen in a while. Looking forward to seeing Cory's truck when it's done. Good for you going that route. It's going to be sweet.

i know im pumped for corys truck its gonna be dirty. DTF is the plan, when i finish the rear i wanna re cycle the front and cut the fenders and everything. i never cycled it before, just for the bumps and thats to the fenders cause i didnt wanna cut them lol maybe if i can get the front dialed in may just leave it for a while.

There are a couple of videos I've seen with a well built leaf truck and link truck. I'll post them when I find them and you can see for yourself.

I'm also building this. Fire pit for my wife. These pavers been sitting in the yard since I bought the house. Figure I put them to some good use.

It's looking like back half it. But once I get these links made out of foam board and pvc I'll have a better idea of what I'm going to do.

Ray, why are you custom making links opposed to buying prefabbed ones? Are there not any out there that have the specs you are looking for? Ruffstuff makes a 48" pair.

    Double cab problems.
Most prefab lowers, shock location is to far forward. There is one I found from goat something... not remembering their name but I looked at the link carefully and I'm not liking the design for strength. I spent a lot of money on my glass and I would have to extend my wheel base. New besides, extended yoke or new custom drive shaft. There are a few LT guys I know that have custom lowers I could probably get cut for me but I would pay high money for. So I have to redesign a link with the shock mount to line up right behind my cab. That is pretty much what I'm doing. Plus I'm pretty confident in making something strong. Might not look pretty but I know I built it to take a beating. I don't mind taking the time to work on something like this. Keeps me excited for next year since I'm limited on funds for the truck this yr. Just gives me something to do. Doing dishes suck. ;)

Another thing is Insain is willing to cut any steel I need on their CNC at a fair price. So that cuts the cost way down. But I have to design everything to transfer to his Solidworks. His guys are tied up at the shop. Corey is always willing to help me out.

    Yo Ray,

Not to blow out a shoulder patting myself on the back or anything, but I'm pretty damn capable at Solidworks, and I have access to a license on my laptop at home.

So if you need a hand translating from your hand drawn stuff to SW, let me know. Seriously, I'd be glad to help, man!
