Haven't been able to find any info nor come up with any answers on my own with almost my entire front taken off. There's two spots that'd be perfect I think if the radiator hose or tranny lines weren't in the way of mounting onto the chassis.

I know a winch bumper is the way to go but can't afford it on college wages and I hate bull bars as well so that's out of the question. I'd love to be able to make a custom mount but I don't own a welder. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

The little kid in me wishes mounting to the crash bar was a viable option. This is for the badlands 12k winch as well.

Ya, didn't think so. I've exhausted countless options in the last few days. Universal my ass haha. Thanks for the input though.

I was curious too when I saw the uni mount at hf. Let us know if you find anyway to make this work

You could also look at Mobtown's recovery bar. Then you would just need a hitch mounted winch cradle.

Maybe look at the Curt 31313, front 2" receiver, they will be less expensive.

They are quite a bit cheaper but when you mount anything in them it really messes up approach angles.

I have the Mobtown recover bar as well and love it... I looked into the HF universal plate as well because I used it on one of my old trucks... but there is no option for installing it without significant welding/fab work... Made the decision to get the mobtown bar easy.

That's the one I have planned for long-term. I can't justify the weight of a plate bumper or the cost of an aluminum one. I was looking at the US Offroad offering, and may still go that route if only for the shackle mounts.
