What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

That is wild. Bet they are revising cause its costing them so much. Took my truck to dealer a couple months after recall and they said it qualified but it didn't qualify. i mean i get there's worse trucks out there but you're going to have to do it anyways, why not do it while yall have the truck. oh well, we'll see what they do. heard they are picky about it though. if it has lift then they wont touch it. don't know if that's true or not. i'm on a level so i'm okay but wonder what they will say to 33's with a 3"

 

Put some Total Chaos bed stiffeners in today, didn't drill the 3 extra bolts holes yet since I didn't have access to a drill. Just got some stronger replacement bolts and manhandled the top portion into place. Forgot to loosen the cap before tighten so I just went back and loosened it and retightened the side. Definitely made the tailgate feel more solid when closing, not sure the spread I had before had but looks relatively equal from top to bottom now.

Anybody know of anybody who knows somebody who has a Silver Streak Mica rear bumper they would like to get rid of? or would i be better off to sand and paint my chrome? Any body done this? wondering how well it has held up and stuck to the chrome.

I off-roaded the shit out of her today, nice to actually use the damn thing to its potential, also nice to know the Bamf sliders work well

Got the catalytic converter replaced today under the recall. Boy does it stink after driving it home.

 

Got some new stuff. Tail lights and a few little extras.

 

I got the key fob case en route as well. And a patch

 

Installed a flow master super 44 today after work. Sounds good not too loud

 

Same one i have on my truck. I think it is perfect for Tacos.

 

The universe aligned and my smittybilt air compressor fit perfectly in my ammo can so it's all nice and water tight. Reorganized my bed-stuff, water jugs and such.

 

I got my remote FOB today too.. it's not a case guys, it replaces the factory plastic. Pretty cool. Did you get yours from TacomaBeast too @beetlevegas ?

I like it more than I thought I would. Might order a CNC one now. Haha

Front Camera wired up to my Sony HU. It's great for tight city parking, and great when I'm taking some off road trails. Pretty easy install, bought from eBay made by Senor Chinese El Cheapo for 22 bucks. I'm happy with the results.

Too much money for cool packaging around what's likely a cheap compressor, but the concept is sound.

What dash kit is that in the 07? Mine's missing the 3 vertical dashes, and the fitment at the top isn't quite right.... how's that one fit?
