Even though I dont have a tacoma I would not do it. The amount of stress you put on your drivetrain basically cuts your trucks life in half. Im sure Dom will chime in on this, but he has told me several times the power loss is tremendous. I drove his truck with his old gearing and you could go open throttle and still move as if you were towing a 6000lb trailer. With the 4.88's he has now, if he wanted to he could smoke his mud terrains, and these are some hard tires to turn over. Plus the axle is a little weak:rolleyes:

They look pretty sick but do have their moments. Being 2wd they help me out a ton, but in the case of sand...eeehhhh not so well. We have been mud bogging, rock crawling, hard pack and they do killer on all of them. Plus they have a long life and are relatively inexpensive compared to other mud terrains, but if you want to do 35's do it right, otherwise your gonna be pushing your truck around instead of driving it. Are 33's not cutting it anymore?

nah 33s are alright. I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna do next because I wanna get km2s but don't wanna stay the same size 285s. the next one is 305 and 315. Is 305 like a 33? might consider that but its 10 dollars cheaper then 35s so i figured why not 35s I was just concerned with the whole power lost ahh but then again my truck wasnt meant to be a street racing machine or anything. So what you mean when you say if im gonna do 35s do it right you mean doing the whole regear thing right

Heres is think all of them for a 16"
    305/65 16 = 31.6 12.0
    345/65 16 = 33.7 13.6
    245/70 16 = 29.5 9.6
    305/70 16 = 32.8 12.0
    225/75 16 = 29.3 8.9
    245/75 16 = 30.5 9.6
    265/75 16 = 31.6 10.4
    285/75 16 = 32.8 11.2
    295/75 16 = 33.3 11.6
    215/85 16 = 30.4 8.5
    235/85 16 = 31.7 9.3
    255/85 16 = 33.1 10.0
    265/85 16 = 33.7 10.4
    305/85 16 = 36.4 12.0
    255/70 16 = 30.1 10.0

Lol dont we all say there not street racing machines....Ive punched the gas down a couple times just for the get up and go...How much are the KM2's your looking at? Yea, be sure you really want 35's, and have a plan of how your going to get them to work. B/C its easy to throw down 700-900 on tires, but when you blow out your transmission and have to drop 3000 its different. Its kinda like carrying around somebody on your back all day, you can do it..but it puts a lot of stress. Ive seen a ton of Xterra's go to 35's but they all regeared b/c they dont want their $30,000 vehicle breaking.

    LT285/7/16= 229

    315/75/16=268
What size are yours? how much did they cost you?

discount will deff match, they helped me out a lot my with rims and tires ie: my rims were 850+shipping+tax. they cut me a deal at 800+tax and they paid for shipping balanced and mounted for free. and i for get what exactly what they did for my tires but i do remember they have me the lifetime warrenty for 1/2 price i think like $8 a tire instead of $17 a tire or something.
