Oh man! That must have been scary, especially when driving. Glad everyone is ok! When my boy starting eating he choked a bit a few times. Scared the crap out of me!

That was just the old story of not thinking through a mod, steelie spares wouldn't fit no more. Gusseted spindles put me in that hole and I just keep digging.

I've always wanted to spend the night at the aquarium. We are members and get emails about them, but the times never worked out right.

It works out though and your truck will never look disheveled...

    I'm on my:
-5th set of leaf springs (TSB included)
    -4th set of rear shocks
-3rd set of wheels (4th sometime this month)
    -4th set of tires
    -3rd pop up camper

    In the last 40k miles.

Talk about not thinking through a mod...

If we're equating truck mods to hole digging (instead of the hole in the bank account), does that mean I'm building a bomb shelter :notsure:

    Glad he's okay dude! Scary.

Friend of ours was choking in elementary and slapping us, hand to throat, not coughing or talking but nonetheless
making some kind of "please, someone help" motions.

We were in 5th grade and at lunch, and just laughed at him the whole time. Then he finally got it fixed on his own and then when he calmed down he said he was actually choking.

I mean.. if only he'd tried to tell us.

Good for your boy to have his head in the right spot under that kind of "OH FUCK" mental load!

    That is scary AF.

My 6 y/o tried to eat half a hot dog in one bite last weekend and started choking and looking at me with those panic eyes. I just stared at him, my mind totally blank. I finally stood up to help at the same time he got it out. It felt like time slowed down.

Weird thing is that I've taken first responders courses every couple of years since I was 15, I mean I'm equipped for stuff like this. It must be the "it's family" thing

    Another story about choking:
First time I met my wife's family we were eating BBQ and she started choking, full on hands to throat. I was a couple of drinks in so I just calmly stood up (while everyone just started at her, frozen...) and gave her some abdominal thrust and after a few attempts the meat came back up and flew out of her mouth like a cartoon. I was pretty sure it wasn't going to work, all I could think was what I was going to do after she passed out. ...tracheotomy anyone? Anyway parents couldn't help but liking me after that!
