you also had an improvement in hp? I butt dyno"ed it on the way home. I think they are around 270ish stock. I was easily around 350hp. 0-60 improved also and I'm now getting 35mpg

 

this confused me, are your new tires lighter and you see improvements or heavier and you're being sarcastic..

my new combo, trd beadlocks and toyo at2 265/75r16 killed what little power the truck had..

I wish I had went with a bit thicker ply tire, correct me if I'm wrong, but the heavier rated tires are better mpg on highway where the weight damages around town driving?

lol nope, that's false. plenty that look better than mine. you're just offended because it relates to yours.

 

this is me correcting you:
a heavier tire will always net worse mpg, a taller tire can net better mpg on the highway due to running similar speeds at lower rpm, if it doesn't create an excessive load due to be too far from the torque curce to keep the load at a manageable pace. in town it a taller tire will net lower mpg due to gearing difference, imagine a 10 speed bike, super easy to start pedaling in 1st but if you try and start in say 3rd, because its a taller gear, it requires a lot more effort


and so I don't come off as a douche bag....

im just jk'ing around. others have posted on hear about all the 3rd gen posts complaining about tranny or engine. if I really paid attention I might have noticed a little but these tires weigh 55lbs, not sure what the originals weigh. also had the originals in the back. still drives fine, love the truck! except for that black strip between the windows
