Suspension, 33s, some armor... Rust, Gray wire and 2Low, and more. T4r is stock.
Nice! I've never tried doing my own traces like that. I end up going with a punch board and a bunch of little wires/solder.

So I've had a constant whistle in my cab for awhile now.

I found that when I'm driving if I push on the windshield the whistle becomes way worse. I'm pretty sure the PO had this problem too because there's a bunch of black silicone like stuff smeared all around the outer edge of glass on the outside (I can get a picture later).

Should I just stuff it with more silicone or try and remove the the old stuff and make it a little cleaner?

I can't afford to have the windshield replaced and whatever else would need to be fixed to solve the problem.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You should have a glass shop reseal it. Probably has an edge that wasn't fully sealed and when you push on it the silicone is tearing more.

Little update for you guys. Been slowly putting together the custom bed rack to serve multiple purposes including strength for my RTT as well as full size spare tire gate, @rotopax and @maxtrax. Went and took a look at it today as we are getting close, just waiting for a few more mounts then we are on to getting in painted and mounted.
Purchased the spindle for the swing out from @RelentlessFab as well as a T-knob. The spindle is super strong and should do super well with the full size spare.

Yeah, agree with above. The whistle is likely from a poor seal from the urethane bead allowing wind and air to catch and create that noise. I guess it could be from the molding but that would prolly be more visible. There is a guy on here who installs windshields professionally. I can't remember who it is though. He'd prolly have some good input on this.

Dam wind noise! I've been chasing noises for a long time. Slowly eliminating all possible areas around front door by a/c outlets.

Wow, that's something I haven't seen before, not that I've seen much. So you'll have a a swing away tire carrier tied into the exo roll cage around the camper shell?

I don't hear worth a damn, deaf in one ear and 60% in the other. So we get good amount of wind noise from that area? Able to share some things you've done to fix? Or what you've found?

I would go as far as a roll cage, as i said the main purposes are to. One lower the RTT so I'm able to fit in the garage, two give the RTT a stronger platform. I figured I'd do something new and put a tire gate and mounting platforms for Maxtrax and Rotopax!

Gotcha, I got that gist of it when reading your post, didn't know what to call it, lol. That'll be kinda cool, unique for sure. Interested to see how this ends up. Looking good hermano.

So far I've used some GTmat inside doors (that was more for sound deadening) along with http://www.raamaudio.com/ensolite-i...sion-for-most-installs-as-far-easier-to-work/ foam on top of that and insulated back of doors panels and kick panels. Filled the void in body under kick panels. Replaced the drip molding weather-stripping. On my third windshield and always watch them put it in. (so I know its sealed up.) Sealed fender to hinge area to stop air from coming thru inside of fender. All seem to help a little. But no holly grail of fixes. Next i'm going after area around hood hinges and top area of fender. Also floor and firewall.

The doors do sound like a Cadillac door when you shut then. Solid sounding.

One of the things I miss most about daily driving the cruisers is the 'luxury' ride of them. Thicker sheet metal(it seems), much quieter at higher speeds, much more sound deadening from the factory. Kinda funny how Toyota markets the cruisers as luxury vehicles here in the States. While they are luxurious, their off road prowess is not seen much stateside. I need to get bucket seats and do some sound deadening to make this taco a lil more plush for dailying.
