    Fired, no. Laid off, yes. If fired, unemployment benefits can be filed for and once denied, appealed. If employer or representative doesn't show at appeal hearing, benefits are granted.

    Yes. Disciplinary documents, records, etc.

    It also depends on how the employer answers the initial unemployment claim. When it's filed, the employer answers the claim with why the employee is no longer employed (laid off, fired for disciplinary reasons, abandoned job, contract ended, etc.). Certain ones qualify for unemployment and others don't. This is what's appealed...

    I think lack of business isn't a valid reason for firing, sounds more like laid off (minimizing workforce)

    Tournament basketball is fun to watch. A lot of times they're very even games that can go either way depending on momentum. Its got a different feel to it than regular season. I usually fill a bracket for the fun of it, and try to pull for some of the cinderella teams.
