Enduring a PITA on two separate occasions sounds like something I would avoid to save $150. Just sayin' ....

I strongly suggest you simply store your Clazzio covers until you buy the heaters. Just toss a towel down to protect them in the interim. They are great covers but you are going to do the job 3 times. Stretch on. Peel off. Stretch on again. I think you are risking damage to your covers with your current plan. Why take that risk.

Just ordered my Clazzio covers today. I got a little creative and ordered Black on Black perforated with black stitching EXCEPT where the TRD Pro has red stitching. It cost a little extra, but I plan on keeping my truck for a long time and figured the extra few bucks was well worth it.

For you visual folks, here are the pictures I sent Tyler at Clazzio (great guy to work with btw) of what I was looking for. The spots with double stitching will now be red. I used "Soeperman's" pictures from page 96 of this thread. Thanks Soeperman!:

Here are the TRD Pro pictures for reference. Black leather with black stitching except where there is double stitching, that's red.

I'll be sure to post some pics of the covers installed once I get them. Sounds like it'll be a few weeks bc they're special order.

How is the install for these heated seats?

Part of the reason why I didn't want to do the heated seats right now is I'm not in the mood to cut into my dash and splice wires. I want the buttons in the console/shifter bezel.

I don't have heated seat covers but there is a USB in the console that you should be able to easily tap into. Depending on power draw of heaters might need to increase the fuse amperage for it. There also should be wires under your door sills that you could tap. Don't see why you would go into your dash. Search the forum. Should be some good ideas here.

How well do these work with the factory heated seats?

A few people addressed this early on and said it takes a couple extra minutes to heat up, but feels the same once they're warm.

I'll check it out and report back once mine are in.

With cloth heated seats are hot within ~2 minutes. Takes about 5x longer with my clazzios. by 10 minutes (when my truck is already warm) they are hot. If your heated seats are very important to you, these are not effective means of preserving that functionality. Maybe if you trim out some of the memory foam it may be faster.

Hey man.. I was actually able to get the price lower after we talked.. Do you want $50 credit back? or Free embroidery worth $95? I know you said you didn't want the embroidery but, man it would just COMPLETE this kit :) Your choice.. let me know..
