One of the alignment cams is a larger diameter on the 3rd gen, otherwise the kits are the same

I have a set of first-gen Tundra front axle shafts available. No joints, just the shafts. I believe they should work for the first-gen Tacoma guys running +3.5 LT.

IIRC The 5th gen 4runners are the same. One of the reasons I didn't buy a T4R instead of my 4x4 now was I had a 2nd Gen Tacoma camburg kit.

    Couldn't you just a use a different bushing/sleeve?

Yeah. New inner sleeves on bushings or new misalignment spacers on the uniballs

You'd have to have them custom made each time though?

No, all the manufactures use their second gen kit and just use the same sleeve with a bigger bore

Hmmm. Well thats not the word I got from Camburg 3 years ago when I picked my kit up lol. They said it straight up will not fit.

Idk how true it is about the lowers but in my experience with them about a year ago I tried buying the heim spacers for the UCA and they refused! They kept insisting on selling me a whole new set of UCAs, it could of maybe been because I mentioned I wanted to convert the bushing uppers to heim? Dunno though, I ended up buying material to make the spacers. If anyone has the dimensions I'd appreciate it, otherwise I need to find time to rip the UCAs out and measure. I've been wanting to learn how to use the CNC lathe at work so it would be the perfect project to try myself out in.

I've seen camburg say some silly stuff that made zero sense, and when told that if they could guarantee they were right we'd pay, they refused to back it up, but maybe in this case they know something about it I don't know. As far as I know fj's have the same setup and I've used 2gen lt on an fj

I wanna say the 5th gen 4Runner lower mounts were a hair wider or something. My idea too was just a wider bushing kit or something, but they said it just straight up wont fit. I was on the fence between a T4R and a Tacoma and that pretty much sealed the deal for me. Well, that and buying a Supercharger lol

i remember seeing something about mid gen FJs did something and certain LCAs dont fit because of it, which caused the 5th gens to follow their lead.

    Could be wrong though.

Sooo my cab has shifted 3/4" diagonally towards the front passenger corner due to an abrupt stop... Anyone have any experience with this? I'm planning to just loosen the body mounts and see how much wiggle room that provides, or just chop the mounts and weld them back on straight?

Just run poly bumps up front they're cheap, no reason for hydro bumps up front. As far as 35's with stock spindles I'm not sure how much clearancing goes into clearing though. Basically any of the big fab shops that make a kit for tacomas you can't go wrong with, just avoid engage or zzr if they're still around.

I'm all for hydro bumps if your bumping off the uca. Otherwise I prefer not to spend all my bump travel on the bumps

    Indeed they are.

I'm on 1.5" stroke jounce shocks which I'm happy with and usually ride above them. I don't want the hassle of bypasses
