2 was my favorite until 5, which I think is the best so far. My cans were stamped on 2/15 so I'm assuming it's been out for a couple of weeks. Let us know what you think.

I'll let you know for sure! I'll likely be going after work as they open at 12 and it's on my way home. But I'll still hit you up each day!

Isn't the thread title "The beer nerd"? Not pretentious just beer nerding out.

You're correct on the title. And you're correct that nerd != pretentious. You must not have read the posts I read, or if you did you interpreted them differently than me.

Anybody like their beer barely carbonated and at cellar temps? I used to set my kegs 6-8 psi and 44F..
Regardless of style. Of course everyone's first (when trying my homebrew) comments was: the beer is flat and warm:facepalm:.

So now I carb to style and keep it cold.

But I find myself pouring a pint and letting it sit on the counter awhile before drinking it. (Shaker pint cup usually:eek:)

You can really tell the quality of a beer as it warms up.

Unless it's a BMC then I just drink it as cold and quickly as I can.

I like my stouts warmer, but with some carbonation. Don't like them under or over. Gotta find that sweet spot.
I'll have to find the page in my book that gives recommended temperatures for different styles. Pretty cool.

But the flavors in stouts really come through at about 50 or so degrees
