$30 for the trim piece shipped. $499 for the SwitchPros unit.

what do you do with extra red wire leads if you only have say 6/8 switches hooked up. I assume there is an easy answer but I am kind of dumb

I would tape them off and zip tie them in a safe place. Never know when you may need to add something else.

Well definitely, I just did not want hot wires just sitting in the engine bay if they didnt have too!

Wow that looks great. I'm not sure how the wiring works, I assume, its just like any other switch and you just wire it to in in-line fuse to a relay?

    Do the blanks light up?

I'm trying to link what I would need 8 switches for...
    Ditch lights
    Fog lights
    Roof lights
    Camp Lights
    Compressor
    Locker?

If you cap and tape them, they'll be fine.

For an Spod, you would make sure that your fuse is appropriate to the accessory you are using. Say you wanted the fuse to trip at 5a, then you would put in a 5a fuse. For the switchpros , its maximum draw for switches 1-7 is like 18a, so wouldn't that be too high, causing any malfunction(short circuit) to fry your electronic??

If I think about this correctly, your switch-Pro is still going to be linked to a relay. The relay will hold the amp (inline fuse) not the switch. So if an accessory needs 30amps it will draw 30amps through the relay, the relay will have an inline fuse to the switchpro, but you barely need an amp for the switch to trip the relay. Modern LEDs are very low amp so in theory you could bypass the relay and go straight into the switch.

For example: *extremely dependent on if my math is right*
1x 40" 240 W LED Light bar is only going to draw 20 amps.
    4x 6" KC lights 180W each is 720W which will draw 60amps. (non-LED)
2x XL80 Ditch lights 80W each draws 13 amps. So in theory you dont need a relay and can wire the lights straight into the switchpro.

There are people on here too that have the high power Baja designs light bars that draw more that have an extra relay as well. @tubbsisland and @JerryTaco both have the relays added to each specific light bar.

No additonal fuses or relays needed. It's all built in to the switch pro. Just hook the red wire from the switch pro to the hot side of your load and then ground it as you see fit.

    I love my SwitchPro!

Okay, another stupid question, but what do you do with your wiring harness if it has a preexisting switch/relay? Again, im sorry im a newb

I'd ditch the rest of the wiring harness. Just take the hot wire (between the relay and the light) from the existing harness and connect it to the switchPro red wire

This is very curious. No fuses or relays?!?! This might be worth it's high price. This would be hard for me to trust at first.

There are still relays/contacts they are just solid state, which means that they are controlled electronically and have no moving parts. But it's the same as a normal relay but should last much long due to not using a magnetic coil like a normal relay.
