Here's some pics of where part of the supercharger broke off. I didn't take any before pics but you can see the welds where it broke off. Good thing it happened in the back of the supercharger so you can't see it.

Now just to rebuild the nose cone, put it back together, and buy the 7th injector!

Got the roof basket mounted and dropped the truck off at the dealership to get a recall done for the lower ball joints!

Got the truck back from the dealership. New lower ball joints installed and a free alignment due to the recall for the LBJs, been meaning to get an alignment since I installed the lift so this was great to knock them out at the same time... and for free! Also found out that I need a new fan clutch. The fan clutch will not disengage even when the truck is warmed up so it sounds like a dump truck all the time. Dealership wanted $600 to change it out!! Had a gift card to rock auto so I just used that to pay for the clutch fan and I'll do it myself. All in all, I didn't spend any money, which is good with me!

    New lower ball joints!

Nice score on getting all that work done for free. Just curious was the recall only on certain 1st gens or all of them?

Not 100% sure, but I would think you could either call your local Toyota dealership and have them run your vin or look it up yourself. I found out when I bought my truck and looked at the carfax and noticed they were on there. Just been pushing it off for a while. There was also a recall for something with the tire carrier but my truck was fine so they didn't need to do anything to it.

Just looked mine up. I only have a recall for my spare tire carrier plate, bummer.

Good for you though! You should be stoked. Also replacing that clutch fan shouldn't be too bad to do on your own. Nice truck by the way!

Took a little day trip up to the mountains today! Went on Richland Rd near Blowing Rock, NC and stopped by Linville Falls! Richland road was a little more difficult than I thought it would be but the taco did great! Linville Falls was also beautiful but a little cold. While I was up there I drove the whole road for Linville Gorge. Had a great day, and then when I got back I got some parts I ordered from Amazon such as a medical kit, hi lift jack, jack mount, shovel mount, and tire mount all to the camper shell. Still on the fence if I want to store my tire up on the roof basket or just get a rear bumper with a tire carrier. Either way I'm getting some sort of aftermarket rear bumper. Here's some pics of today's adventure!

I think it was on the 01-03. I looked it up for my 04 at the Toyota dealership I work at, and there was no recall. They fixed it for the 04's.

The new fan clutch came in today and the truck finally doesn't sound like a dump truck anymore! All it took, was about 20 minutes of my time and a 12 mm wrench! I can't believe Toyota wanted to charge me $600 to change this! I'd say the hardest part, was to get the nuts to break loose but they came off fairly easy with just letting them soak in PB blaster for a couple minutes. Took the old part off, started transferring the actual fan blades and noticed that the old clutch had screws that you screw into the clutch and the new one already had studs on it and you only needed nuts to put on it. So, I figured I had to go to the hardware store and get some new nuts, but right before I left, I remembered that I still had the engine I pulled from the parts truck I bought a few months ago. Lucky enough, the spare motor had the same clutch as the new one, so I just took the nuts and put it on the new part. I also just took the fan blades from the spare engine because it had less corrosion. It all worked out! Put it all back together, took it for a spin around the block and no more sounding like a dump truck! Very happy with the results!

Putting the new and old side to side and noticing that one has studs for nuts and the other has holes for screws...

My old fan blades which some of the metal was corroded compared to the spare fan blade I had which was a lot cleaner.

All installed and ready to go!

Good looking rig! Not to mention you aren't too far from me. Plus my sister lives in Charleston.

Quick question, I see you swapped over to a CAI do you still have the stock intake and tube?

It's just been sitting in the shed since I took it off, its in pretty darn good shape other than some minor surface rust on a screw. Let me know what you'd be willing to pay. That works out great that you'll be in the area next weekend so we wouldn't have to deal with shipping and all that! Here's some pics
