I did some little MODS last night. First I ordered a HID kit from DDM Tuning to install in my OEM fog lights, so I ordered some H10 Apexcone Raptor HID Kit (35W 6000K). I also ordered some different fog light switches, I ordered some GSW-45 Rocker Switches from oznium.com. About a week ago, I bought a used aFe CAI from TW member "OldManTan", (Thanks!) I installed it as well. Enough talking, here are pics.

The HID kit below is all I needed to convert my OEM fogs. Install was simple.

    IMG_1846_9b92e8b9882d05c0fa2b1c4135a1c64932ccc6a9.jpg

With some minor trimming, I was able to get the switches to fit. I like the nice clean look.

Since installing this kit, revving the engine sound great. I am curious how it will sound on the highway. Again, thanks "OldManTan"! :woot:

Your truck looks great!!!, looks nothing like a 5-lugger anymore (in a good way). How high is it from the floor to the wheel well?

That AFE looks pretty sweet. A lot better than those other "CAI" that pull from the engine bay. Looks like a good find.

I will get pics tomorrow and post. Also, can some one post pics of their stock Tacoma from the wheel well and PM me the pics. I want to see compare the two.

It was a great find. I was thinking of purchasing a CAI, but not willing to pay $250-$300 for a new one. I like it so far, sounds great and performance (increase throttle response).

Got some some pics. Here is a picture of the front. The front sits about 35.25". There is some paint chipping off both front fenders of my truck. I might considering buying some fender flares.

The rear is approximately an inch higher than the front 36.25".

Its safe to say you are at stock 4x2 pre-runner height

    Overall height

    Stock 5-lugger: 65.7"
    Pre-Runner 4x2: 69.9"

Difference in height between yours and mine (stock) ~4.25 inch

Your overall height should be around 69.95"!!!!
