Had a herd of deer running a couple hundred yards on the road in front of me yesterday morning and got the footage on the dash cam.
But...I am technically challenged and can't figure how to post it here.

Good afternoon folks...today is my Friday. Watching my Grandkids tomorrow night into Saturday. I'm hoping to get over to the Tacoma meet and greet in Fredricksburg Saturday afternoon, crossing fingers! Y'all have a great evening and keep it safe.

Well I did most of my cdl physical today. Diabetics have to have a current A1c (no more than 3 months) and mine is 3 months and 4 days old, so they drew blood and should have the results of that tomorrow...then I get the new med cert. All the vitals were good, visions, hearing. So I'm thinking it should be no problem.

I've got to read 93 pages out of this 1.5" thick owners manual for my new Pioneer head unit !!!

Whatever happened to those maybe 5-10 page owners manuals

I'd guess we're going to lose about half or more of our volunteers in the next couple weeks. The LTVA season officially closes April 15th, but now that it's heating up they'll be headed for higher ground. I went out to one of the LTVA's today and quite a few have already headed out.

I don't know what an LTVA is. Is that an acronym for snowbird? The snowbirds are starting to migrate north. The next month is going to be a real bitch. So many of them think its a great idea to drive their motorhomes 55 mph on a 75 mph interstate. Then they get to a mountain and instead of slowing down for a truck they will pass, at 55, and cause a worse traffic jam than they already have.

The permit is $180 for the season (Sept 15 - Apr 15). Quiet time is 2200-0600 (no generators, loud music, etc.). There are 2 different types of permits. Long term and short term. Long term is up to 180 days, short term is 14 days. Short terms are renewable during the season dates. Long terms are only renewable at the start of the next season. April 16th thru Sep 14th the area is a 14 day camping area on a different type of permit.

It won't be in the 90's in July...it'll be somewhere between 105 and 120-ish. Morning lows will be in the 90's somewhere.

Umbrellas, big hats, and air-conditioning will be the order of the day from now till the end of September.
