I have color matched a Silver Mica grille with Duplicolor rattle can. I don't believe you could tell it was rattle can. Not sure about the MGM and the bumper is a little bigger.

How hard was that to do? And did it look metallic or matte. My bumper is the only chrome I have left.

It was metallic. Lightly sand everything you are going to paint, wipe it down, tape off everything you don't want to paint. Wipe it down with alcohol, spray it with 2 coats of primer with the appropriate time between coats. Depending on how that looks, either wet sand it and hit again with primer or spray 2-3 coats of paint. Same on time between coats. If everything looks good, 2-3 coats of clear coat. If not break out the sand paper and rinse and repeat.

You are MGM? I used Duplicolor paint on the Silver Streak Mica truck. I haven't looked for MGM, but I believe they will have it. Yes, take it off the truck and if possible, remove the plastics.

I've color matched my grille and bumper in silver streak. With the grille, I used Duplicolor. For the bumper, I had the oreilleys on Bob Wallace in Huntsville mix up an aerosol for me since the Duplicolor had to be special ordered.

Ya your telling me. That's the main reason I haven't been able to make it to any of the meets and mod days. I just recently banned my 6 and 5 year old from the tablet so I know your pain. You and me think a lot alike my friend, that is the exact reason me and the wife have decided to start overlanding. Like I mentioned before our first big trip is in june. Then next year we will go on many short trips all leading up to a utah national parks trip in 2019. During which we will be spending 2 days at moab. And now it looks like we will be adding on Yellowstone and the alpine loop lol. I'm currently watching that very same channel. Have been trying to make my way through all there videos.

Awesome! Posted earlier in the moab thread how we want to do something like that. Maybe next year or 2019. Just did disney last year and we are going to do that every other year. Just going to have to throw away a beach trip every other year to do stuff like we're watching on youtube! Wife said she's down ad long as she gets a couple of days at the beavh.

Man I want to take my kids to Disney so bad but my wife says we need to wait till there older so it would be more enjoyable. Ive never been myself but she has a couple of times. We went to the beach once last year(first time since we moved here 3 years ago) it was alright. I guess growing up in Michigan were you cant go 2 miles without seeing water of some sort beaches have lost some appeal. Me and my wife share a dream of traveling the country, so when I told her about overlanding she was more excited than I was lol. I'm currently watching a 25 min. long video of the skyway trail. It looks like a factory truck can make it without damage if you take it easy. Think me and the family might try to check it out on sunday.

I missed Vandy and FGCU right now. Was really wanting the 14>3 to happen with that one!
