    METBERRY/HACKETT GULCH RUN THIS SATURDAY.

Time to take advantage of the weather!! Meeting up at the train tracks in Sedalia at 8am and convoying from there. Plan is to run Metberry first and time permitting, hit Hackett on the 2nd half of the day.

So far it looks like we will have a good turn out. If you are looking for a good run this weekend, come join us!

How many peeps you got going? I'm part of Colorado Springs 4x4 meetup group and we're also running Metberry with 14rigs on saturday. Should be at the trailhead around 10ish. I'll try to space it out so we don't hold yall up.

Nice! I don't have an official count or anything but we will probably be at the trail head around 10am as well. Plan to run Metberry and back and then hit Hackett (time permitting). Should be a beautiful day full of Yotas!

Hit Slaughterhouse yesterday afternoon. A little leftover snow and mud, but made it through easily in my stock OR

Cause there's no gate. I can't find the link showing it's closed, but I'm sure someone will chime in with it.

Well you're just in a ball-bustin mood aren't you? My understanding is this is the first year for the winter closure. In all seriousness guys we should be spreading the word so the trail doesn't get closed permanently.

Could you provide some more info on that? I was hiking near Kenosha pass and decided to take a peek at Slaughterhouse on the way back to Denver. I kept an eye out for closure/winter condition signs, but didn't see any. Both cattle gates were open.

I've been trying to find the link to the site that shows all the winter closures but I can't find it right now. Maybe @Star-Lord can chime in? I think he was the one to bring it to our attention originally? He's wheeling today so it'll probably be a bit.

Shucks fellas. I feel like a dope. Like I said, I was passing Slaughterhouse and it was a spur-of-the-moment type run, but that doesn't excuse me from not being up-to-date on the seasonal closures. I'll use this as a lesson and will count myself lucky that there were no rangers in the area. My apologies for contributing to reckless wheeling.

Can't take too much blame considering the only reference we are finding of the closure is a screen shot of a Facebook post without a link :notsure:
