I'm not sure man. Hopefully someone will chime in with more experience on this. I can say I really do enjoy my turn down exhaust.

i really like it, it has a nice low throaty sound at idle and it never really reaches that loud droney level. of course, i cant compare it to stock because it was already on the truck when i got it.

Here's a sound clip from me at the dunes. FYI I'm running DTLT, urd comp y, no cats, with the mbrp cat back exhaust. It originally dumped out the side, but flexing the suspension quickly modified it to a dump just after the axle.

As stated in my previous posts in this thread, the MBRP exhaust does have a bit of drone.
I procured $60 worth of Noico sound deadening material from Amazon.
I removed the back seats, storage bins under the seats, and the back wall.
Totally covered every surface and hole able to be covered and even doubled up the Noico on the passenger side and back wall.
I think the extra 6-7lbs on the passenger side will offset full tank taco lean by maybe, oh, let's say... a millimeter? whatever...

SO.... Do I still have drone? Yes. (It's not going away and it honestly did not bother me much at all to begin with but I like projects).

The drone, however, is reduced SIGNIFICANTLY. No doubt about it. I don't have any professional sound or Db measuring equipment and at the time I was too dense to think, "there's an app for that," which there is. Damn hindsight. I was too excited to get the project going.
Due to my excitement, I don't have any before and after sound measurements, but again, if you have a bit of exhaust drone, mat the back up and you'll be very happy. I would say it reduced the drone by at least 30-40%. Very, very noticeable.

Total time of the project was 2.5 hours from first bolt off to last bolt back on. Piece of cake.
There is an excellent video on youtube detailing how to remove the seats and back wall. Easily found with a search.

    Cheers!

Rarely do I make it up to the DFW area and I'm not hitting the jamboree this year, unfortunately. I'll see what I can do about a cabin noise video today before work.

So, I made a couple videos and took dB readings but honestly they don't do justice to the true sound in the cab.
Sorry, but the tools at my disposal just aren't up to the task :/
Suffice to say the interior drone is much diminished with the noico matting.
I would say the vast majority of people with concern of drone would have no issue with the MBRP exhaust combined with proper sound deadening installed.

Mostly miscellaneous electronic mods.... -2 spare Electrical fuse blocks hard wired to the battery with a key on relay. -Hard Wired Radar detector over rearview mirror. -2 Dual Whelen Avenger blue LED emergency lights, one on each side of the rearview mirror. -EP911 Blue LED Light Bar & Traffic Advisor, Rear Windows. -4 corner amber strobes in stock lights. -Hardwired RF Scanner with external speaker under center console. -Huskyliner front splash guards -Fireband 2 way radio in center console. -Herculiner painted on hitch and skid plate. -Switch to power one 12v socket when truck is off. -AntiDark LED strip under hood with switch. -Timbren Rubber Springs - Rear -MBRP Offroad Cat-Back with Resonator -Duratrac's -Provisor -Color matched hood bug shield
I have been scared away from the MBRP by the "drone" feedback from several people. Too bad because it was the cheapest option out there and probably easiest to install. But i spend too much time on the road to listen to that all the time.

I wish Gibson sold a offroad style turn down exhaust at a price somewhere below $350.
