have not turned my sights on 108 yet, let me know how it is when you get back. I know it is a bit early for all my creek camp spots to open up after the feet they received up there.

Snow line is supposed to be high too. Skiing in the rain is no fun...

Thanks guys and gal. That's what I thought, I wish we could stay closer to the snow line, but this was a last minute trip and cabins are pricey by the lake right now. We'll see how much snow/rain we get this week.

You can take the truck out of the desert, but you can't take the desert out of the truck. :annoyed:

I missed that storm. I was out of town camping in Petaluma. Apparently Dodge was pretty fun.

Where were you sledding near Beardsley?

I'd like to take my kids sledding again but I'm coming up blank on areas that aren't a cluster f.

Did you hike out past the gate?

Thank you! That's my niece (sisters dog). She's a big dog at heart. Had her on my jet ski, boat and my passenger 4 wheelin. Tried to convince my sister to let me take her for a ride on the dirt bike. She wasn't having it

What about Strawberry? Found a place right by the resort and might be good for snow. Hmmm

Sorry this is all foreign to me, we had a cabin in Cold Springs for the last 12 years and unfortunately had to sell it this year when my stepdad passed from cancer. Never had to think twice about where to stay before, so I'm clueless.

I would get at least a 10000 winch. Lots of people get 8's, we are almost 8k. you should try to double incase you are pulling yourself out and possibly someone else tied to you (we had to do this last weekend). I want a 12k so I can pull full size 3500's and two rigs tied together.

also double so you can pull yourself up a hill with resistance, you will be putting a lot of extra stress on that 8k.
