3rd Gen, Post up your cell phone mounts!

I'm trying to figure out what I want and where I want it. I find that I sometimes forget my phone if I leave it plugged in and in the cup holder. I figure I need to see it when I get out of the truck...... Also, seeing the map during navigation would be nice.

Please post up a picture of your cell phone mount and tell me what kind it is.

Does the mount move when you rotate the vent? Can you still rotate the vent?

 

The mount is mounted on a ram ball and you can rotate the ball 360 degrees anyway you want it. The vent does not move but is still functional. You can install the plate anyway you want depending on which way you want the air to flow!

 

Hondo mount is the cats meow, the tigers prowl, the chickens coop...the cookies milk...ok yea im done here you get the point.
Hondo mount paired with a round ram mount magnet. Makes for easy use attaching and detaching my phone

 

in my car, not the Tacoma, but you could easily put in in a Tacoma. best mount I've ever had. ram adhesive ball base, with a shorty clamp, and their spring loaded phone clamp. doesn't ever move or drop the phone, and easy to use. fits any phone and doesn't interfere with the charging ports, headphone hole, or any button. it's also so open on the back side, you can turn your camera on for a dash cam.

I really like the idea of these, but I do sometimes need to rotate the vent. Sometimes I want the air in my face, sometimes I need it blowing away from me.

 

Just use the air from the vent near the window to blow in your face when you need it that's all!

Thanks Moe..... that's just not going to work for me. It's nice, but not what I'll do.

 

$15 Scosche magnetic mount (Amazon, Walmart, etc). Love it. With the metal plate stuck low on my phone case, the phone pretty much sits just to the left of the stereo and is easy to access for changing music, etc.

I used a small piece of black electrical tape on the blue LED. Just a little bright at night.
