    Yeah I use the term camping loosely in this case. We stay in a little cabin at the KOA:eek:.

    It's a tradition of sorts. We meet my old college roommate and his family there. Then we go to Bodega bay for oysters and after to drink beer at a brewery in Petaluma or Santa Rosa.

    Unfortunately it rained us out this year for oysters so we just did the brewery's.

    So looks like my gear is no good for a doubled up or high resistance recoveries. 10k winch would need a 20k (at least) snatch and shackles. Looking up WLL my 3/4" shackles are rated to 4 3/4 tons. Snatch block is rated 17.6 tons.

    7/8" shackles are rated to 20 tons but they no fit in my bumper. Looks like a new snatch and soft shackles just made my list...

    If you're serious, do not get any shackles from China. Our company made us throw away any shackles that were made in China. Crosby products are good shit.
